Thank God the former principal was transferred to another school after several times being on administrative leave. In the last three years, Walsh has become a completely different school. Wish my children were at this school presently. Very poor administrative skills.

I have 2 children who have gone to this school for almost 4 yr and the afterschool program is wonderful..there are some teachers that care I admit, but there is also a problem with how the school is being run. My son has multiple disabilities and I have had to fight tooth and nail every single step of the way, even with physical diagnosis they were resistant to accomadate, which I am aware this is not legal.but again from a parent point of view, the school has all the power. They are VERY good at making you believe you must be over exasgerbating, until you go to several outside specialists who not only found several impairments, but actually started treating him for it....But the catch 22 is when you find out that the school only has to "consider an outside doctor point of view/diagnosis". I have been told for last few yr that the several diagnosis do not affect him in school.including visual processing disorder, adhd and several others apparently" only affect him at home" I have not had a good experience with this school system, as far as disabilities go,there is something is VERYYY wrong with the system on how it is dealt with. But I also know this is not jus waterbury,it is going on everywhere-Happy Searching!

completely unorganized, never get answers. I can express my concerns and issues with them and get told it'll be taken care of but I'll never get followed up with. My daughter will not return next year.

Now I have recently moved from NYC to waterbury ct my son is in special education since we came from NYC he will be repeating kindergarten but I already knew that before my arrival to this school. I'm hoping their staff of teachers can help my boy out but what i do know is thier is no Honor role in any grade in this particular school. I asked because I wanted to work on getting my son out of special education into a regular class and work on getting into honor role. He is in special education because of speech only.

I have 3 children who currently attend Walsh and all 3 are honor students. The teachers are wonderful and compassionate. My children love their school and the challenges it comes with. My only negative thought is the parking situation while picking students up at the end of the day. It definitely needs improvements.
