Eastern Elementary School provides a wonderful learning experience for all children. We are lucky to have this place!

If you have children with special needs and require an IEP, please please please do your research and prepare yourself for a battle. This school is a joke. They denied much needed services to my kids. After 2+ years fighting them having advocates and doctors to aid in the battle, I moved out of the county rather then starting a costly lawsuit. Within 1 week, my children received services and began to see progress we never saw in the 2+ years being in this school. One of my kids jumped 6 levels in reading in 4 months being enrolled in this new school and received specialized instruction that they needed. This proves that Eastern does not care for all of it's students like they should and deny needed services based on funding, not on need. There are some good teachers in this school, but the administration like to play games and act stupid in order to get away with whatever they want. So unless you child is low functioning or a typical child able to do all his/her own work without help, don't expect much help from them. They want perfect kids not children they actually need to teach and be involved with. I blame this school for my child having to repeat the 1st grade of 2015-2016 school year in order to get back on grade level. Being sent home weekly for problems based on a medical illness rather then trying to help. After all this time missing so much school and so many calls a week or worry that at any moment I would have to get my child... This same child entered the new school and had 140 days of perfection. Its obvious Eastern wanted failure and I wasn't going to allow that. My children are in a much better school, with educated teachers whom want a child to succeed and help in any way possible. We couldn't be happier. Because of Eastern's failure to provide a Free and Appropriate Education to my kids, they ended up in a much better school and are thriving and progress can be seen.

Eastern Elementary is filled with caring teachers and staff. The facility is maintained very well with only the upmost care given to the safety and well-being of the children. From the janitors and lunch room attendants all the way up to the principal, all adults involved at Eastern have 1 goal- to provide a safe haven and comfortable learning environment for all students. I attended Eastern as a child and look forward to all of my own going through Eastern, as well. These folks take great pride in all that they do. Children attending here are certainly lucky!!
