I enjoyed my time at The Monroe School (2009-2012) and the staff were very warm and supportive. I was definitely able to learn there and exceled further than I thought I was capable of. The principal is hundred percent committed to helping her students achieve a full education in a discrimination free environment. I'm also fairly certain that only the most professional and qualified educators are be hired because the education I received was from some wonderful individuals. I would recommend this school!

Monroe School was and is simply a joke that was played on me and unfortunately my child was the pawn. The school was ran down and shabby they lost their license to serve lunch because the health department shut them down. Their education model is to simply collect money to employ the small staff. The teachers come and go. They do not have a fully qualified staff, as one teacher who is not certified teaches a foreign language. Their education and staff is lacking and the children are the ones suffering without structure. The principal is never there and when she is, she's always in a hurry to leave. There is no support for parents, no PTA to join, no tutoring because unfortunately the curriculum is not challenging enough to engage help, there is no parent -teacher communication, unorganized staff, and the environment is depressing. One thing that The Monroe school have is small classes, but not nurturing and that is because the wise parents decided not to send their child to this abyss. DO NOT ABUSE YOUR CHILD AND SEND THEM HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY EDUCATION FOR YOUR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD!
