This school needs so much and fast . There are safety concerns, behavior concerns with what is allowed with the students. The students are not allowed to speak during their lunch which is ridiculous. School needs an overhaul. Good luck to you.

I have read the comments and have to agree that parents should and do follow the chain with issues but empty promises are often made and the "good" kids are expected to adapt to the behaviors. I have past experience with this system and I do not think listing issues is bashing, but making potential parents aware of what they can expect in this system. Actions speak louder than words. Whether they improve it of not, the facts remain.

It's not fair to judge a school by one review. I'm perfectly okay with people criticizing as long as they are willing to right the wrongs. Go to the right people and voice your opinions instead of bashing a whole entire school district on a website.

My child attended kindergarten and did very well. The classes are small. The ratio of girls to boys is 2:1. She learned to read early! Here are my observations that need improvement. 1. There are a large number of hearing/speech impaired kids that need extra help and are not improving...the other kids get pulled behind. 2.There are behavior issues in the classes that do not get firmly addressed. These are constant distractions that affect other childrens learning and they push these kids ahead because they are afraid of the dopping enrollment. 1. Bullying on the buses in the district is not addressed 2.Teachers appear at times as disconnected with the area. They ask for pot-luck dinners at student conferences because they are missing their dinner with no regard for parent time. 3.They upset the children by telling them dreadfull stories about lay-offs in the school system. 4.The system holds PTA meetings at unrealistic times for working parents. As a result, I am sending my child to another district while she is young
