We currently have our 3rd child about to start her last year at Immaculate Conception & we couldn't be happier with the school. With smaller class sizes, a focus on religion and teachers who care. We have had a great experience with this school.

We have been very pleased with our experience at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Schools. The teachers are excellent; they are very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise, use traditional teaching methods, and really care about their students. Also, the school has a wonderful Catholic environment, with daily prayer, weekly liturgy, and excellent religious instruction. Although our family is not Ukrainian, we feel very welcome at the school, and our child has especially enjoyed learning the Ukrainian language and culture. Also, we have found the school's small size to a great fit and appreciate the individual attention that teachers are able to provide here. We highly recommend IC for any family looking for a quality Christian education in the metro-Detroit area.

IC has prepared our three children well for high school. They consistently score high on the IOWA tests and we couldn’t be happier with our choice in schools. Small class sizes and teachers that care and make sure your child understands what is being taught.

I.C. School has been an absolute blessing for our family . My daughter is thriving at this school . When it comes to making sure that your little one has the academic skills and discipline they need to succeed , I.C. goes above and beyond . We love the sense of community @ I.C. , and the small classrooms . Go Bengals !!!

I liked the small class sizes. My daughter was in 10th grade when the high school closed. She finished at a public school and found out she was way ahead than even the AP classes. She scored high on the ACT and did well in college, especially in classes that required writing. My son graduated from 8th grade. He scored a 35 out of 36 on his ACT. His entire graduating class graduated with over a 3.75 GPA. We are not Ukrainian but was required to learn the language when he transferred in 5th grade. He became almost fluent which helped him latter in life. Great school. Small class size. Not a lot of resources for sports besides soccer though. We were there for the academics though. Administration was kind of disorganized when we were there. They also required 40 hours of parent volunteer work or you had to pay extra tuition but most private schools do this. Overall a great experience.

The teachers really care about the students. Homework / Textbooks/ Tests are more than adequate to encourage learning in the classroom and at home.

Immaculate Conception is a wonderful environment to send your son or daughter to. When you send your child to this school, you know that your child is in a healthy, nourishing environment. The teachers are very helpful and kind, and will do anything to make sure your child succeeds. The teachers treat each and every one of their students as their own. IC helps to prepare your son or daughter for high school, and even for college. The lunches at school meet the health standards excellingly, and aren’t just “mush on a plate.” The students also go on many field trips, with many hands-on activities. The only negative aspect of this school is that the teachers don’t really handle bullying well. They say they will take care of things, but they never do. I hope this will change soon, because this school has more potential than this.

This school is a joke. I had to take my children out of this school because the teachers were unprofessional and my children were being bullied. I took my daughter out before 7th grade and son before 5th grade. They were tested with an entrance exam at their new school and scored a 3rd grade math and science level. IC failed at providing my children with any good educational background. A year later, my children are flourishing at their new school and they are much more prepared for high school. IC does not have the means nor the faculty to provide kids with the education that they need. I wish I had never wasted my time with them.

Immaculate Conception is a school that began with wonderful intentions but over time completely disintegrated into the horrible condition it is today. Academically it is poor. Your children are going to have a hard time competing with the other schools in the state. The over exhaustion of the Ukrainian culture is disgusting. I am a Ukrainian and I love a lot of aspects of my culture but the extent this school takes it to is obsessive. The bullying in this school is very real and the administration does nothing but turn a blind eye. I can see why so many people are attracted to this school. From the bombardment of false promises of higher levels of education to the propaganda like school love and advertisement can really make an individual be happily ignorant to the reality of the situation. Your child isn't going to be in a Ukrainian environment. Choosing a Catholic school is a private choice in itself but the excessive requirement of Ukrainian classes is unrealistic and useless. So many reviews state how the high school should reopen but the truth is this school will give your children a false understanding of the world and their future environments. Being a Catholic private school is beautiful but this academic establishment should also exemplify an understanding of diversity and respect. A school should unleash a child's mind not blockade it. Looking back at my experience, I would have been much better off going anywhere but IC. If you care and love your child, do them and yourself a favor and don't send them here.

The thug and family mentioned in the April, 2015 review are gone, expelled, thankfully! Very good school. My daughters went to IC as well as myself and my mom. Very nurturing family-like environment.

My kids have been here for several years. It's been a great place for them to learn and a great experience for us as parents. Everyone has been very friendly and the faculty/staff make a point to know each family. I've always felt they've listened to our concerns and addressed them in a way that met our child/ren's needs. The academics are very strong and my family can't get over how many "specialty" classes the kids have. It's great IC can still offer them when so many schools are making huge cuts. There are plenty of field trips to enhance classroom learning too. My kids are very proud to go to IC. They not only feel safe, but nurtured and encouraged.

IC Schools condone bullying and protect bullies while ignoring victims. I have never seen an Administration so misguided on handling one of the nations most popular issues in schools. Do not allow your children to walk among disrespectful thugs who remain protected by Administration.

This school forms friendships and contacts that will last a lifetime. A great school where your children will work hard in a catholic community. The multi-cultural environment is exceptional in this small school and learning a second language from day 1 is a bonus. The parents and families are very involved and really care. I highly recommend this exceptional school.

The children thrive at this school. I would be reluctant to send my child to other schools in this area. I know most of the parents by sight and it is an excellent learning environment! The teachers are incredible and care about challenging the kids with making learning fun. The principal needs to be positive, a leader, and work more with the parents and community.

We have been at IC for several years now and it is a great school. The parents and PTO is very involved and make a difference and really want to help the children. The small class size is wonderful! Would only change the principal.

I grew up in the public schools, so it was difficult to send my children somewhere and pay for school. I love the multicultural Ukrainian and American integrated environment and believe that is extremely important for my children to learn and appreciate this. In our electronic age and world without borders, this school teaches traditional values (and cursive - so many schools don't teach this anymore!), with some electronics. The electronics can always improve as are always changing, but right now the school tries to provide a good balance between technology and values. I would recommend this school to parents in the area.

When we came to the United States, it was our dream to preserve our Ukrainian heritage while providing our children with the best education available. Without IC Schools, we would never have achieved our dream.
