My experience at Holy Trinity School was a positive one! The academics and the teachers helped prepare me to excel in high school. The smaller class sizes helped with one on one attention so I felt like I could get the help when needed.

I've read the reviews for Holy Trinity School (HTS). We agonized over this decision for a long while and are happy with the choice. It was the right fit for our child. Some things to consider: 1) The education is measurably above average. Staff is dedicated and have extensive iPad use and support. 2) Going to HTS gives your child options that are not readily available through public schools. 8th graders graduating from HTS readily go to private, public, Catholic, and magnet high schools, depending on what is best for the student. Many private schools do not accept students from public school, so please be aware if that is important to you. 3) Kindergarten is full-day. Wallingford is 1/2 day. 4) In our experience, the older students are very supportive and mentor the younger students. 5) If you live in Wallingford and have more than 1 child, you don't have to take your kids to 2 different elementary schools when one is in grades K-2 and another is grades 3-6. 6) Have had a good experience with the bus (ie no bullying). 7) Staff and administration knows every child by name. 8) Religion is taught as a means to build character. Hope this helps.

We have been incredibly satisfied with our children's experience at Holy Trinity. Our children have grown academically and we believe are very well prepared for high school which they will be starting next year. Holy Trinity has both an advanced math program and offers Spanish. At our children's prior school, it seemed like there was some new pilot math program every year and the teachers didn't make sure to emphasize math fundamentals. Not true at HTS. They also still teach cursive which has been eliminated in the public schools. The English program is very strong and I believe that my children have a strong writing foundation. To us, though, the most important part of HTS is the community atmosphere. Sister Katie, the principal, knows every student's name. She makes it a point to get to know every family. HTS is a very tight knit community with a lot of school spirt. It offers a host of athletic opportunities, basketball, softball, baseball and soccer. All of the kids are encouraged to try out regardless of their ability and in general no one is cut from the team. That being said, HTS still makes it to the state championships many years, particularly in basketball.

Strong academic programs, caring school community...THE BEST CHOICE FOR OUR FAMILY!!! When the time came to send our oldest child to kindergarten we decided to give Holy Trinity a try. I had graduated from the school, as had other members of my family, so it made sense to check it out. Upon entering the building so many years later, Sister Katie, teachers and staff welcomed us warmly. The atmosphere these dedicated folks maintain is so conducive to learning, filled with nurturing and love. The school has an established full day kindergarten program, an advanced math program, Spanish classes, smart boards in classrooms and iPads for student use. For students who enjoy sports there are competitive soccer, baseball, softball and championship caliber boys' and girls' basketball teams. For those who are musically inclined there are opportunities in band and choir, too. Our oldest child has since graduated and is excelling in high school as a direct result of the education she received at HTS. Our youngest will be graduating before too long, and we are confident that he'll also be ready for the challenges of high school thanks to HTS.
