  To respond to the comment about violence... This was a concern for me, before agreeing to send my child there. The school was, after all, originally started mostly for rehabilitative purposes. I was put in contact with some recent graduates. They all agreed that, currently, it was probably the safest school in Walla Walla!Now it's more of just an alternative, for kids who have difficulty with the cookie cutter, group handling dynamic of the traditional schools. Additionally, some of those children who had violent episodes most likely did so because they had no one who understood their emotional problems, and "triggers", while the Lincoln staff seems much more knowledgeable and aware, therefore generally able to circumvent such problems. My son seems to feel comfortable and safe there, which I doubt would be the case at WaHi.There is a much smaller than usual teacher to student ratio, which allows for more individual attention. And, while everyone I've dealt with in the Walla Walla district has generally been very decent, personable folks, the staff at Lincoln seems exceptionally helpful, friendly, and patient (with myself, and my special needs child). They have been much more accessible, and easier to communicate with than the other schools we have attended. At Lincoln, STUDENTS ARE TREATED LIKE PEOPLE - not just another "placeholder" or number for statistics (and state funding).My respect, and appreciation, of the staff at Lincoln is such- that I felt compelled to speak up for them, in this venue. ...More Reviews

  Teachers cared about you there, more than Walla Walla high school does. But the school is for violence kids more than helping disabled or any other kids just trying to get away from WA-Hi. Recommend it, if your kid is having trouble in school ...More Reviews
