My kids went to this school from 2014 - 2017. They had both gone to Castleman previously and generally loved school there, but when they came to Woodgate, with both of them, their love of learning PLUMMETED. It was slightly better for both in 6th grade than 5th grade. In science, they hardly did any science experiments until testing was done. Testing was a HUGE emphasis and I feel like this was negative.My kids did have a good experience with their electives (orchestra and tech).

I love working at Woodgate Intermediate. It is an amazing place to work and for students to learn. All the teachers work really hard and believe in their students. You can see everyone is passionate about students succeeding in academics and in life.

I love working at WoodGREAT! I feel like I make a difference in the lives of my students and I feel supported by other teachers and administrators. Our PTA this year is really inspiring support of our campus and it’s GREAT to be at Woodgate!

Woodgate has such a warm and welcoming environment, it feels like home! The staff only wants the best for their students and it shows through their smiles and compassion for thier students. Greeting students at the door, having lunch with students, and spending time getting to know them after school shows they really do care beyond the classroom. Woodgate is the place to be and I'm so proud to have a WoodGreat student!

Judging from its academic performance in state testing the past two years, coupled with the feel of "family" that exudes from the staff both to each other and towards the students, Woodgate seems to have a good set of tools to help ensure that its students receive not only top-notch academics but also nurturing and lasting life lessons to help them develop into compassionate, productive, and impactful citizens.

The school has continued to evolve with the student demographics and the families served. The district supports the programs and listens to the community needs, offering more services in areas of need. The school atmosphere is positive and supportive, the students feel it, the parents see it, the teachers model it, and the administrators encourage and applaud it.

5 stars! This is the highest ranked intermediate school in all of Central Texas! Woodgate has racked up distinctions and honor roll designations from the state of Texas for their efforts in academics. Students who attend Woodgate are in a diverse environment and are being served by the MOST dedicated teachers.

Awful! Not sure why it’s getting so many positive comments. This is an unsafe school that’s working in “survival mode”. I’m sure the standardized test scores will reflect that soon. Very sad.
