If you want your children to succeed then please look straight past this school. The help is no help at all and I'm pretty surprised considering all the good things I've heard from this school. Need new staff and new people in general who actually want to work.

The staff at Cooke has been amazing with my ND child, even before we knew her diagnosis. They communicate with me, offer so much support, and go above and beyond for my girl even when she's having a meltdown. We're truly blessed to have a school full of people who genuinely care about their students, and their actions prove it. My oldest attended 3 other elementary schools in VB and Cooke is by far the best experience my family has had. (The others were not bad schools at all, but Cooke raised the bar for sure.)

This school is amazing. My little one is in Kindergarten and he has learned so much in the last year. His teachers are awesome and dedicated to teaching.

My experiences at Cooke elementary have been exceedingly disappointing. My child came from another Virginia Beach elementary school, and after a year a Cooke he has academically regressed. The staff is sub-par. We are looking at options to transfer him to a different school next year. I highly recommend looking outside of the Cooke district if you are considering moving to the area.

Went to Cooke Elementary 40 years ago! Now living and teaching in Australia. Without a great foundation in my early educational years my life would be very different! Thank you to those Cooke teachers all those years ago!

We are a military family that had to temporarily evacuate from Japan in March, 2011. The administration and teachers at Cooke were very welcoming to our family. They placed our kids with great teachers, acclimated me to the routine and in a very short while, we had a had a little bit of "normal" back in our life! Thanks especially to Rosemary, and all of the wonderful staff that supported our family!

Cooke is a GREAT school my seven yr old is flourishing there and my 12 year old went there previously, (special needs) he did GREAT
