I am a student, I’m in 8th grade. Although this is a high preforming school there is many people who have straight f’s. And there is little to none equality in this school. It’s not really the teachers it’s more the students. But there are a few teachers/staff that are overly rude. (Front desk worker, vice principal) I have been sexually assaulted by a boy in this school (6th grade). I have been bullied all 3 years I’ve been here bc of my weight, my gender, my sexuality, and many other things. A lot of people are racist and Only have black friends so their allowed to say the n-word. People are also homophobic, which might not matter to some people but it does matter to me. The only teachers that have really helped me is mrs.talbott (8th grade English) mrs.butcher (7th grade English and 8th grade wv studies) and mrs.gates (6th grade English). As I said I’ve been here through all of middle school and this school is the main reason for my depression and anxiety. It hurts to see how many people come here with high hopes and then get bullied for no reason. So parents the only way your kid will survive here with out too much trauma is if their skinny white and basic.

Jackson might have great scores but this is school is full of clicks and snobs... There are a few caring teachers but I've seen more bulling from the teachers than I've seen from students. My student experienced bulling from at least 3 of the teachers and when I brought it to the principal's attention he took the teachers side and dismissed my concerns. The vice principal is the biggest bully of all.. She acts like she's better than everyone and puts her nose where it doesn't belong. It's sad that the students that don't have money get treated like they trash. It's shameful...
