Do not send your children to this school! Severe bullying to the point I have to homeschooling my child, the Special needs department is horrible and lies on IEPs. If your child is 1st grade IQ they go by the age like 5th grade so their work is 1st grade-5th grade. Anything that happens; bullying or other issues are NOT reported to the parents! The lunches they give are very small. What they learn is ridiculous either below or to advanced for them to know. The teachers are mostly uncertified. The school nurse is horrible when it comes to care and medical knowledge.

My child is nearing her second year at Highlands and I could not be happier. The innovative learning that is being promoted at Highlands has helped my childs confidence explode resulting in straight A honor roll for the first time! = Proud Parents!

We have had issues with this school from day one. Every time we visit the school someone is pointing in the face of a child and yelling at the child. My child has expressed major anxiety over going to school every day, and no longer wants to talk about the goings on at this school. Based on other reviews I agree that certain teachers are very good, but the majority of the teachers that I have had dealings with seem to be burnt out.
