Every single day it is a chaotic mess in the hallways and people always threaten to shoot other people (even though they wont) and most people are just aggressive and a lot of the substitute teachers are kind of rude. Even though you can make amazing friends at cascade I would not suggest going there because it is over all a terrible school to were if you don't have enough friends you will most likely get made fun of or beat up. If you have a kid go to the school just tell them to act calm in class and don't just threaten people to look cool. I'm just annoyed by the people who yell and threaten people just to act cool even though they cant do much. You can stand out but not too much, do one wrong move and it becomes your reputation.

I'm a substitute for the district. In the past few years the school has become awful when it comes to student behavior. Students are disrespectful to both teachers and security, will refuse to follow directions, and even throw things in class. Speaking with teachers, they behave this way for their teachers too, not just substitutes.

I went to this school for my 8th grade year. I went to Jason Lee and Glaser for 6th and 7th grade as well. Out of all 3 Cascade was by far the best school I had ever gone to. Cascade attempted (in mid 2000's) to take a proactive stance against bullying, the teachers were good, not all of them but most, and the sports were great. The location of the school is beautiful and it was such a pleasure to be sitting in class and look out the windows to see the beautiful Mt. St. Helens!

I don't understand how or why this site rated Cascade MS a 3 of 10. I'm currently in 8th grade towards the end of the year. This school is pretty good when it comes to hiring teachers. Some teachers I've had great experiences with are Mr. Rudy, Mr. Bjerkelund, Ms. Lacko, Mr. Rice, Ms. Picconi, Ms. Dellay, Mr. Pryor, Ms. Lanphear, Mr. Kuske, Mr. Samuelson, Mr. Elston, Mr. Crowston, and Mr. Whitman. That's just a few of the great teachers at this school. The counselors are also fantastic and do their job very well. There are of course some teachers that aren't great in my opinion but that is bound to happen in any school. Lunches are okay. Great Secretary's. Overall good school.

My son is been in Cascade since 6th grade, he's on 8th grade now, I got him a boundaries exception this year in order for him to attend this school, this school is been great for my son, the teachers have been great, every single teacher have helped my son so much, he's currently straight A student, the teachers always work with me, responding immediately to my emails or notes, they always help my son to improve his grades and give him all the help he needs. One thing I can say, parents have to work with them too, you can't expect to send your kids to school and let the teachers do everything, their just kids and if parents don't care about them and work together with them, they will not do it, and teachers have many students every day, and even though they care and want to help your child, if a parent just don't care enough about your kid education, don't expect your kid to have great grades, it's a team work where everyone is involved, including the children and parents. Mrs. Picconi, Mr. Rice, Mr. Couch, Mr. Laudig, Mr.Whitman, and Mrs. Hindman are fantastic teachers and thanks to them my son is on a great track to his future.

I'm about to go into 8th grade here and I have been at this school for most of 6th grade 7th and will be there for 8th this is my 2nd middle school and I have made many small groups of friends but some of the students can get to be a little rude but that is why u have to find ur real friends like mine I made at beginning of 7th and they're still my friends and the teachers are nice although ms picconi can be a bit strict she's nice nonetheless

a sad excuse for a school, more like daycare with incompitant babysitters. principal doesn't know what he is doing. counscelor is led by the children (guessing no degree). all around the school is ill equipped to deal with the obsticles of middle school children.
