Stay far away. There are too many better options in Westchester. The school has very weak/non-existent special education program. The sports teams and clubs are split into cliques by parents and coaches who enable said parents. The academics are generally weak, and parents are mostly not in the loop or engaged in the school unless they are in some strange standoffish clique.

Worst school for people with mental health issues, the education there is very good, but that’s it, if your not mentally or educationally on top they will forget about you, as if u never existed. For parents with children wanting to attend but don’t plan on being at the top of there class you might as well go to white plains highschool. This is all before the principle (Dr.Thomas) I had left so it could be a little different now, but no one knows why he left, also “no one” knows why our “honorary blue ribbon sign” got taken down either… maybe that can connect the dots as to why this school is bad. Because an honorary sign like that’s Dosent get taken down for no reason and shortly after this situation a lot of the school bored “retired”-SH Valhalla alumni

Although I would have liked a school with more diversity I think that our years at VHS have been rewarding. My child has found a passion for the Arts, has made wonderful friends and has genuinely enjoyed high school years. I would have liked more inclusiveness however that's up to the individual student. We learned more and more with each year things we wish we would have known when we first started. I especially like that the students my child has been in First Grade with are still with today as we approach Senior year.

I would not recommend this school. Back-up staff in the front office is extremely rude. I was treated like a stranger and a second-class citizen when I took my son for an evaluation at the school when the students had half a day. The back-up secretary was extremely rude to me and offensive with her body language. You know what they say in the south, "Bless your heart"!

Great school with great teachers. They are very proactive at picking up on areas where students need extra help before they become issues.

Wonderful small school which provides much needed attention to students needs. Especially lover their music program!
