  St. Pius School is an organization that I have been involved with for the past 11 years. I am proud of the school community and the ability of the teachers to not only turn out students who are academically very high achievers, but also moral students who take pride in serving their community and those people around them. The school offers a monthly Mission Awareness Dress Down Day or MADDD that supports a non-profit organization. The students have raised thousands of dollars for the local community's organizations like Child Serve, the Urbandale Food Pantry and countless others. Not only do St. Pius students graduate with very high tests scores on standardized exams, they have a sense of creativity and high respect for the arts. St. Pius offers a great teaching staff with MANY years experience. The high quality of the school is shown through an extremely low turn over rate of teaching staff. In my opinion, St. Pius is the VERY BEST educational option, PK-8, in the Des Moines Metro area. If you are looking for a school that teachings the core subjects at their best, but also teaching children the importance of arts, character, and service there is none better that SPX! ...More Reviews
