In my experience this school doesn’t provide good education not due to the teachers but do to how many behavioral issue students they allow per class where it becomes stressful and disruptive. Pros- great teachers, nice staff Cons - over crowded classes - behavioral kids causing major distractions- only 15 min lunches 10 when they have to get seated etc. - PARENTS aren’t allowed to be volunteers in the classroom or for field trips or any other opportunities.

There are so many great things about this school! The teachers and staff are amazing and create a very encouraging and compassionate environment for students and parents. The school provides curriculum at different skill levels based on student needs and progress, which I feel makes learning a positive yet challenging experience. The facility is great and the school grounds are in a private but easily accessible area. There is even a community garden located next to the school which the kids are able to use as part of their curriculum. Each grade receives 2 weeks of swimming included in the curriculum in the school districts amazing aquatics center. My child started Evergreen as a kindergartner at the onset of the pandemic. Like most families, we found it challenging adjusting to online schooling, however once school resumed the growth that I observed in my child was incredible. She went from slightly struggling to meet grade level requirements to exceling grade level requirements in less than a year. Her love and interest in learning has grown exponentially and I can see her confidence soar. I attribute this to her amazing teacher and the positive school culture.

I just have to say this school is mixed when it comes to equal respect for parents and staff. Some teachers are kind while others act superior because they work here. I've never been treated so rudely by a teacher. The younger teachers here act like high school students. It's unbelievable. Would not recommended these teachers. I can't imagine what their priorities are in the classroom.

I absolutely love this school and am fortunate to have my youngest and oldest daughters complete their elementary school years at this school. The staff are very friendly, the principal is great and I especially love how fortunate they are with funding and how well it is placed into programs for better education, awareness and overall fun activities. The field trips, in school assemblies and organized family events after school are terrific! This school really does feel like family and it is easy to form many relationships with those that work here and volunteer. I'm glad my children and I experienced such a great school!

We feel SO lucky to have 2 children in Evergreen Primary! The teachers are amazing and engaging, the programs are wonderful, and the funding seems to go to all the right places. We were given the opportunity to move and chose to stay in University Place largely because we didn't want to take our girls out of Evergreen. The only thing I would change is the parking/pick-up situation, but in the grand scheme of things I'd totally put up with it to keep my kids at Evergreen!

This school feels like home to us. My daughter struggled with reading and didn't like to practice. Thanks to the dedicated reading specialists and great teachers she has had, she is now reading at her grade level and enjoying reading more. I love that her teacher really worked with her to help her find books that interest her. She also excels in math and her teacher was sure to continue to challenge her and help her get even better. We are so glad to be at Evergreen!

My son had to transfer schools about 8 months ago. We still miss Evergreen. The U.P. school he transferred to has very high ratings but Evergreen absolutely blows it away. The principal and staff are amazing. His teachers took special time and care in all the kids and it showed. It felt like a family there and that is absent from his new school. We loved Evergreen while he was there and now that he is gone it is even more apparent how fortunate we were to have him there for the three years we did.
