Tulare City School District has given me less faith and pride in my community than I would ever have imagined possible prior to having school-aged children. While asking teachers throughout the district what they can be sure of concerning Tulare City Schools, each one has stated that it is a game of politics. I have come to believe them. The district administrators seem to be driven by money and power. Teachers are overworked and resources scarce as a result. Higher salaries for teachers supplement sufficient working conditions, leaving my children to pay the ultimate price. How is this leveling the playing field? My children are losing out on an education which builds 'confidence' and 'creativity' because teachers feel they need to cut corners in order to get through the day. Education serves as the foundation and building blocks of the community. I'm not so sure what our community is building anymore.

Great Staff, always willing to go beyond thier duties to volunteer at school for special assigments. They take in serious consideration to Parent suggestions. Teachers are respectfull and open to talk to parents. My daughter has had a great experience here, her reading level and math skills are improving day to day.

As a parent, I did not feel like things were run very well. The principal spoke down to students as well as to parents. I also feel that they did not promote parent volunteers. As for the classwork, on the times when I did volunteer, it seemed to be below par. I have since transferred my child to a better school.
