My son just started kinder at Ms. Cassie’s class. He couldn’t be happier (and he has learned so much in just a month)! My older kids had attended elementary schools in CO, other TUSD schools (Sam Hughes and Wright), International School of Tucson, and Basis. This is by far the most amazing school in EVERY aspect. The family, the kids, and the teachers/staffs are simply fantastic. Everyone is friendly, organized, and serious with what they do. Everyone heard of how dysfunctional TUSD is BUT this school is definitely an outlier. We were very sad that Mary Anderson retired from being the principal but we are sure the system that she left behind should last for a while. Mary is the only principal in the whole state of Arizona to receive Terrel H. Bell award for outstanding leadership. If you ever meet her, you would appreciate her ability and character.

I would never recommend any child attend a TUSD school let alone Fruchthlendler. In my experiences, the school has a bully mentality starting at the top along with office staff members and numerous elementary school teachers. If you are a concerned or caring parent, Mrs. Anderson will write you off if you do not do what she tells you to do and enables several questionable teachers to do the same. Mrs. Anderson and many of her staff seemingly only care about winning awards rather than developing children with strong character and leadership skills. In every school video, parents here about the awards the school wants to win and nothing regarding the personal development of the children. The children are treated like numbers in a database and not individual human beings. The countless times I have entered the office, the staff rarely smile, and the office workers are downright rude. The only saving grace keeping this school afloat are the small handful of teachers whom go above and beyond. TUSD and Fruchthendler decision makers seem to regularly ignore the needs and requirements for teachers to maintain this barely average school district in Arizona. Looking thru the reviews for the numerous TUSD schools, the issues in leadership and staff character are frighteningly prevalent which demonstrates the Superintendent has lost touch with everyday realities within TUSD. AVOID TUSD SCHOOLS AND FRUCHTHLENDER AT ALL COST!!!!

My 8 yr. old grandson is thriving so beautifully at Fruchthendler Elementary School. I am eternally grateful to the wonderful principal, teachers and specialists at this marvelous school. He absolutely loves every single day of school, and it is beautiful to see how he is blossoming in this very healthy environment. He loves learning and has a great social experience. Fruchthendler is truly a blessing in our lives!

My 8 year old daughter attended 3rd grade and will continue to attend. We loved her teacher. We loved the fact that the principle knew who our daughter was on site and not because she was a trouble maker. It is a lovely school.

I would not recommend sending your child to this school if he/she has any time of learning disability, etc. They are not well versed with working with children who are in the least bit different.

This is our first year at Fruchthendler. It is a very good school. We love all the extra curricular activities and OMA at this school. The principal is EXCELLENT. I can't say enough good things about the responsiveness and the level of care I see from Ms. Anderson. TUSD seems to pour a lot of resources into this school (new laptops and Technology class on Fridays). The quality of instruction is also high. Please consider this school if you want quality teachers and excellent administration.

My daughter attended Fruchthendler for 2nd and 3rd grade. We had a great experience with Mrs. Tinsley and Mrs. Landau. The new principal Mrs. Anderson has an amazing vision for the school and the PTA had many opportunities for parents to be involved. The OMA program is Wonderful!

It is amazing all of the wonderful things going on at Fruchthendler. I don't know why anyone would consider going anywhere else. Our new Principal is fantastic. We are really excited to be a part of such a wonderful school community.

My child had a wonderful experience this past year. He was struggling in math and his teacher stayed after school and tutored him until he understood the math. I see so many teachers with the same commitment. My teacher keeps updated with my child progress. She had been very supported of my child and other children. These teachers work hard to meet the student needs whether it is academics or behavior. Yes, I understand that parents are nervous that there has been so many changes at Fruchthendler, however the staff and the teachers are the ones that are there for our children no matter what changes happen. My family is committed to providing a good education to our children and Fruchthendler is that place.

Going down hill and fast. We bought a house in the Fruchthlender boundaries before our kids were born as we heard it was top notch. After just one year there we learned otherwise. Class sizes are huge, parents are not welcoming to new families. I felt like I was back in high school everyone was so clickish. My child was bullied on the playground and the issue was never resolved. We have since left for a school out of district and are very happy. It's amazing how many people I meet around town or at our current school that have also pulled their kids out of Fruchthlender. I sure hope TUSD fixes things quick and turns this school back around.

Fruchtendler has excellent teachers devoted to educating the entire class with a variety of methods and approaches to the materials. Mr. Heidel expects and maintains a courteous, respectful learning environment for students, faculty and staff while still allowing kids to be kids. Thanks to the commitment of the school community (parents, administration and teachers) there is a commitment to developing the whole person required subjects plus art, PE, music and clubs.
