It’s a good school if want simple work but otherwise wouldn’t recommend. They have policies that make it very hard to have a good attendance, you fail a course if you miss 2 days and get no grade for that class even if you did well. the staff do not care about the students wellbeing as long as it doesn’t affect attendance. very poor covid reaction when there was a case on campus. teachers aren’t told anything from administrators, students will ask questions and get no answers because teachers are left in the dark. very frustrating experience. Students who are unable to complete work are usually ignored rather than helped even if they do not speak good english. if you try to disagree with the staff they completely shut you down and don’t allow peaceful discussions. they immediately take everything personally if you don’t participate in there weird and poorly explained habits such as standing in a circle every morning while they beat a drum.

I am continually impressed by Changemaker High School and the work of Changemaker students to improve our Tucson community. One of the best schools in Tucson, Arizona, and the 10+ states in which I have lived and interacted with students and schools. Terrific leadership team and motivated students who show their passion for learning in their classwork and in their work to improve the Tucson community.

There is a real sense of community, self reliance and respect among students and staff here.

The teachers are biased, the school coddles misbehaved students, and promises rarely get delivered. Lunch is terrible, and students skip lunch regularly due to this.

Changemaker High School is one of the best schools I have ever encountered. The school community is friendly and welcoming and the students are doing truly amazing things with their community service projects. The curriculum helps prepare students for college with top-notch academics, a project-based curriculum, and encouragement to be self-motivated and a leader in one's community. This school truly makes a difference!

The school is enjoyable because the teachers keep it challenging and keep the burden of completing assignments along with keeping grades, up to students which offers a very college like environment for students to grow in.

My school is very cool and awesome because you get good help in your classes. The teachers always go out of their way to help the students at my school.

My school is good because it is hands on and interactive. I made a lot of projects at this school and it has helped me greatly.

This school is a great school that offers so much, and I think students should take advantage of it at all times. I think this school should keep expanding because it's a great school!

I really like the school because it gives you a sense of what college will be like in terms of work and "late policy". It is also a small school so you really get to know everyone.

I love that Western Institute is always finding ways to expose my child to college experiences.

This school has many opportunities, many people come to speak with us, they tell us about their career and how they are what they are to this day. Another good thing about Wild is that students have their own voice, and they earn everything.

Esta escuela como cada otra escuela tiene sus defectos, pero si en verdad el estudiante le hecha muchas ganas en aprender el curr culum de los maestros los estudiantes pueden tener un futuro brilloso. Although, as a fellow student here at the Western Institute, my personal opinion for this school is for staff to connect and understand where my fellow students are coming from. Throughout the year this school tends to become more unorganized and unsettling.

It gives plenty of freedom for the students to grow and become independent. Es un tiempo para crecer.

I like this school because it's small and convenient. This school has a lot of one on one with the teachers. The school isn't all perfect though the food isn't the best and they don't have a good enough amount of sports, but other than that it's a pretty good school

This school has a lot of growing to do. Unfortunately during the time my child went, things were very disorganized, understaffed, there were a lot of unkind kids and not a lot supervision or structure. Students were allowed to input and govern on too many of the school rules and events. I don't think allowing kids to help run the school is appropriate at this age. So if your child is vulnerable to bullying, needs structure and set rules or has special needs you may want to look elsewhere. The only positive things I can mention are that I think the school wants to be a great school, the humanities class is challenging, and the facility is very nice.

This school has potential to be a great school. But the administration needs to step up their game on many issues. Teachers are thought of as peers. And there are many times where there isn't supervision & incidents have occurred where a student could get sexually &/or physically assaulted. They allow non-students to participate in dances or events at the school without having the non-students parents sign them in. The curriculum in good & allows the students to do a lot of hands on.
