This school treats good students like criminals for a simple mistake.

Toronto Junior-Senior High School offers a variety of College Credit Plus courses that allows students to graduate with an associates degree without ever leaving the building. Some of the courses I've taken are Advanced Art, Spanish 101,102,201,202, Advanced math courses Algebra 120- Calculus & Advanced Stats, as well as multiple offerings in English and French. The school atmosphere welcomes students into the band, choir, clubs- art club, Key club, BETA club, NHS, FCA and other activiites as well as atheltics and have been a member of the school musical since my middle school years. My experience at Toronto Jr-Sr High school has been a positive one that prepared me for my future when I attended Ohio University.

Toronto High School provided my student with the chance to take college credit courses as well as graduate with an associate degree. My child was prepared for college. Thank you Toronto High School for all that you do for our kids!

This school and the district is an absolute joke. Moving here my junior year, I was so excited, but that quickly came to an end. I was denied the option to take certain classes because they were “too advanced” and I didn’t have the ability. This was coming from someone who did not know me or my academic abilities. Any time I had any issues at all the school looked the other way. I was given little to no advice on what to do after high school, including information on loans and ways to get the proper information transferred to the colleges I applied to. Not only are the students extremely rude and unwelcoming, the staff are as well. Anyone who is not a star football player, cheerleader, or valedictorian is often looked down on by most people in the building. I never once felt this school was properly preparing me for my future. The issues with bullying, homophobia, and racism at this school are out of hand. There is zero place for these types of issues in this town. I am ashamed to be an alumna of this school.

When I attended this school from grades preschool through 12th grade, I felt as though my education was a joke. Now that I have completed college, and meet many people from various states and schools, I have learned that Toronto City Schools did an excellent job in preparing me for college and my career. It may not have all the classes that another school offers, or all the sports, but 90% of the teachers at this school district are amazing, and caring. When I run into them, even today, they still remember me and ask about myself and my family. It's one of the pluses of going to a small, hometown school. I am not a jock either, as others have mentioned, and I think you get from this school what you put into it. Some of my best teachers were: Ms. Popejoy, Mr. Weidger, Mr. Stone, Mr. Hlivko, Mr. Sines and Mrs. Pritts, and this is just to name a select few! I would send my children here.

I am a former student of Toronto High School. I was pushed through. I was bullied and since I was not a "JOCK" nothing was done about it. If you don't have the right last name at that school or town. you don't have a chance. All they worry about is the Sports program. God help you if you have a coach as a teacher. All he will do is talk about the sports program with his "JOCKS" and the heck with anyone else in the classroom.

As a former student of toronto high school i can honestly say my experience was awful. A teacher started trouble with me and hurrassed me. The school did nothing about it. I learned absolutely nothing. I am very smart but they did not care because i wasnt an athlete/cheerleader. Not only is the education terrible, there is so much bullying there, and i have seen teachers laugh about it and actually gossip with the students. I know of many students who needed therapy after graduation. Now i am in college and working after i was told that i am stupid. Do not send your children there!!!!
