I feel the rating this school has received is unfair. Students don’t perform well on tests if they are absent an excessive number of days. The teachers at Holmes are fantastic and if a child attends and is ready to learn they will benefit from the extra mile all of the teachers go for the kids. My kids all went there, did well, and are productive members of society doing well. I’d send them there again, and I feel this rating system is very deceiving.

This is an amazing school! I love the fact that they have so many resources for Special Education students and they do a great job of getting families involved in school activities!

It's a good school but I think they should do more after school things and the teacher always talk to each other but should pay more attention to the students.

Holmes needs to get it together. They have a second step program, but they don't teach It to the children. The staff are never on the same page it is almost like they don't know what they are doing. Some of the staff are very rude and not so nice to some of the children. I have to move out of the district just to get my child out of that school. I have never in all they years of my children going to school have I EVER seen such a disfunctional school
