Lack of communication with teachers. Some teachers very unprofessional. Teacher announcing in front of class who has to go to summer school or get held back. Constant bullying on buses. The principal is great and she’s trying her best but there is just so many kids and so many issues it’s hard to make changes in a short time. Hopefully it gets better. Office staff is also great and very friendly and tries to help you.

Teachers are great, but no effective means of getting rid of the bullying.

Excellent teachers at this school, as well as administrative staff! The teachers have helped my son who couldn't read on a first grade level last year, to this year reading on a 3rd grade level! They invest there hearts into these kids to help them succeed! My other son is in 4th grade and tested at a 7th grade level and got AB honor roll for the first time ever this year! downfall to this school is getting the bullying under control! The staff works very hard to do so but the school board doesn't want to kick these tormentors out and put them in an alternative school. ThT change needs to happen before more students are scared!

    I’d give Apollo a 1 out of 10.

This school is very focused on high test scores and not the student's molding.

Apollo is a good school and Mr. Diaz is the best teacher.

I totally agree with the other reviews of the school I have a very good child and all year they kept saying he was in trouble and I know they were overreacting. they don't let the children laugh play or have any fun it's like a military school . they are making children hate to go to school to make children hate learning is definitely the wrong approach.

Found some teachers are great but some fall short of average and found that quite a few yell a lot. This school is a strict and cold environment. Students never get a chance to release and talk, not even at lunch, lights are ALWAYS out in the cafeteria which means "no talking" and the kids eat in the dark almost daily. Teachers punish the whole class for a couple of daily disruptive students and take away recess for the entire class. Front office secretary is rude. PTO is always asking for money. You don't feel you are welcome at meetings. Parent involvement seems to have dropped within the school. Watch for tardy/absences this school has their OWN rules and punish your child for being legitimately sick! Your innocent child will have to serve a detention after school with children who have, some severe in manner, behavior problems. This punishment applies only after 3 days, The school used to be great but times are changing for sure. FCAT scores look good but would not recommend if you are just moving to the area if you are looking for a warm family friendly environment for your child and you don't feel it should be all about the numbers!

I would not recommend this school. District has recently closed surrounding schools in the area and the school is getting overcrowded and the number of disruptive children has risen quite significantly in the past year or two. My child had a hard time learning anything this year because of the disruptive behaviors in the classroom that the teacher could not control. The school needs a new leader and/or direction.

My son has had the same teacher for 3 years (supported classroom) and she has been GREAT with him! I have been very happy with his classroom placement. My only real concerns are the LOUSY art program and the lack(??) of a music program?? My son comes home with "artwork" consisting only of crayon on paper projects. Where are the glued macaroni papers? Feathers on paper? Finger paint projects? Glue with sand in it for texture? Why is a sensory program not using sensory media in its art program?? I don't know much about this school other than what I have experienced with my son in his classroom but I do love his teacher and have been happy with him in her class. Just wish the art and music programs were stronger with the special kids.

My son has been at Apollo for the past 3 years. He does great there and really enjoys the work and his teachers. However, because of boundary changes, if we stay at our current address, we will be forced to go to another school the next school year. My son does very well at Apollo, and in my opinion it is one of the best schools, if not the best Elementary school in Brevard. I am very concerned that my son will not get the quality of education at the new school that he's getting at Apollo. I am very disappointed with the decision to move us to another school, and hope to relocate before the next school year starts. As a parent, the quality of education that my son gets is very important to me.

The principal only cares about AWARDS! None of the faculty cares whether or not a child gets another slice of pizza, just hurry up, shut your mouth, and eat! The teachers are inconsiderate to the needs of restroom breaks and also tells the children they're writing is heartless! I wish they could hire teachers that cared and a principal more worried about the welfare of kids then another AWARD on the wall! I had high expectations and I am very let down. Every parent meeting I have been to has always been a sales pitch after sales pitch! I prefer for my child not to come home in urine soaked clothes and my daughter to come home not in tears because her teacher said her writing was heartless.

As the parent of an autistic child I adore this school. The whole team has always been in support my son succeeding 100%. When problems arise they are dealt with in a fair manner, and dealt with as a team. My son would not be succeeding today if he had not gone to Apollo. I also love that despite being a big school the faculty and staff seem to know all of the kids. I feel like my son is really safe there and cared for.
