All my children attended Jerger and my wife as well. Thing have changed recently. My child's 1st grade teacher was mentally not suitable to teach but the teacher was allowed to continue to attempt to teach with on going problems in her life.I feel this shouldn't have and wouldn't have been this way if the administration really cares about how this affects students. Lack of teacher in the present world situation doesn't mean the administration should like subpar teachers educate our kids.

Jerger is a great elementary school. I attended and both my children. Never received anything but help and genuine caring from every teacher I've come across.

We love Jerger. My son is in 2nd grade and his teachers have been top notch. The school is in great condition and the office staff are very friendly. I am confident that my son is getting a great education.

Jerger has changed. The city school system does not follow the districting guidelines. Jerger has become a school that caters to the parents that want to feel elite, and special without paying for a private education. Now it's a feeder school for the Scholars academy; the city's answer to the failing middle school run by them. Instead of working on what was already in place, they made a special school for these kids, and amazingly all of the White Jerger kids are geniuses and get in. If your child is a little different, or has special needs, this is not the school for them. Diversity and inclusion are a foreign concept.

I was not happy at Jerger. I was told how great it was, but things have changed over there. The teachers are frustrated with constant discipline issues that never get addressed by administration and it makes it hard to teach class. If you put your child there make sure you visit one day and stay for a while. The teachers were very good, but there was an overall lack of discipline for the students. I took my child out because he was exposed to disrespectful students who were not held accountable for their actions. All Thomasville City schools have Strings, Band, Spanish, Art, and computer. Those things are not synonymous to Jerger. There are a lot of non-city families who kids attend Jerger because the think it is a "private school." These parents pay nothing for their child to attend Jerger, then they want to run the school, and then they go back to the county when their child reaches middle school age. There is no unity at Jerger because of the mix of students. The other city schools use the colors red and gold, but Jerger doesn't because the county parents would throw a fit if Jerger used red and gold. Please go and visit. Things aren't always what they seem to be.
