Avoid This School at All CostsThis school has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the poor teaching methods to the lack of care for the students’ overall well-being, everything about it screams negligence.First, the teachers are completely unwilling to help students succeed. There are no options for extra credit or makeup assignments, leaving no room for students to recover from mistakes or unexpected situations. They lack understanding and empathy, which is critical for a positive learning environment. The physical environment is equally appalling. The school is unsanitary, with poorly maintained restrooms and filthy common areas. It’s clear that cleanliness is not a priority, which raises serious concerns about health and safety.Speaking of safety, the school fails to provide a secure and inclusive environment. There’s no effort to address or prevent issues like bullying, discrimination, or unfair disciplinary practices. The administration appears disconnected from the real issues students face daily. The curriculum is another disaster. It’s boring, outdated, and fails to engage students. There’s no creativity or effort to make learning enjoyable or relevant to real-world scenarios. It feels like they’re just going through the motions without caring about the quality of education they’re providing.Furthermore, the school offers minimal support for students’ mental health and emotional well-being. There’s no meaningful effort to address stress, anxiety, or any other challenges students might face. It’s incredibly disheartening to see how little they care about the students as individuals.Even for families of students, the school provides little to no engagement or inclusion. Communication is poor, and there’s no sense of partnership in the students’ education. Families are left feeling like outsiders instead of collaborators. In short, this school is failing in every possible way. It’s not a place for learning, growth, or support. If you have other options, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

A Truly Disappointing ExperienceI honestly cannot recommend this school to anyone. There are so many issues, it’s hard to know where to begin.First off, the teachers are completely inflexible. They don’t offer any opportunities for extra credit or make-up assignments, which is incredibly frustrating, especially when unexpected life events come up. They don’t seem to care about helping students succeed, which is disappointing for an institution that’s supposed to prioritize education. On top of that, the school is downright unsanitary. The restrooms are poorly maintained, and the hallways often smell unpleasant. It’s obvious cleanliness is not a priority here, which is both unhealthy and unprofessional. The curriculum itself is another huge letdown. It’s boring, outdated, and lacks any creativity or innovation. There’s no engagement or effort to make learning interesting or relevant. It feels like the administration is stuck in the past, offering the same dull material year after year without considering how to improve. If you’re looking for a school that actually cares about its students and their environment, this is not the place for you. I genuinely hope they take these issues seriously and make some major changes because right now, it’s a mess.

I feel like this is a good school as a student here.Their is some bad stuff though but the reason I don’t like school is the lunch aids ar horrible.Once I got punched in the face when we were lining up to go inside for lunch a kid punched me in the face the teachers did not notice me holding my eye and crying my eyes out they noticed as soon as my friend told them. But listen to this they really did not do much about that but another time at recess I threw a stick on the floor and I had to sit out for a couple minutes.Yhen got yelled at.When I got punched in the face that day they made us applligize then ‘hey guys be friend s now bla bla bla.since third grade all the kids say curse words and many more.

The teachers are okay, but some of them can be strict. The deans on the other hand are way worse. They have no respect for the students and lack responsibility. This often leads to disobedience in students. As for bullying, there is poor communication in most situations, so the problem is OFTEN left unresolved. It's obvious that the adults do not care. Homework can vary from teacher to teacher. Some may assign 2-page essays to finish in a day, others might give a simple worksheet. Again, it depends on whether or not they care for the students. In general, they need better forms of discipline. It's known that the principal is retiring this year, so hopefully, the new one could offer more.My personal experience in this school (4 years) was positive, but many others struggle. 2.4 STARS. The best part of this school are (most of) the teachers and students.

I had a horrible experience during my middle school years, teachers , staff and administration and the principal are cruel, strict, disrespectful and all the negative words you can think of. This school is a horrible school for students, it is similar to being in jail. i had the worse middle school years of my life. I dislike all of teachers, administrations and principal. There is no motivation and no fun in this school, it makes kids want to stay home. I've experienced disrespectful teachers, and the principal. They do not care for their students but themselves and their paycheck. The school is extremely toxic. I recommend parents looking for another school for their child. None of the workers are professional. They made unnecessary rules which makes no sense. Students will get in trouble for no reason. There is so much more to say but I think it is enough to say that this school is horrible for students. This schools needs to be shut down, not because of the school but because of the workers. It's sad my middle school years weren't the best.

194 is the best. It has math olympiad, a school uniform code that 95% of the students follow, does the pledge daily, and has a better curriculum than 127

Poor because of the administration. They have too much power and bully both teachers and parents.

This school is horrible. HORRIBLE. The teachers and staff that this school has are uncooperative and rude. I've been a student at this school since kindergarten, and almost ALL of my teachers have been disrespectful and hypocritical. The principal does not care about the students themselves and only cares if the classes make a good impression on visitors and outsiders. She wont get off her high horse to notice the drop in graduation rates and the low state test scores. This school only cares about the funding they get and not for the children. My current teachers give me hell. The homeroom teacher hates their job, and is currently giving HELL to all of the students. The homeroom teacher is rude and expects every single student to be perfect. The other teachers (English Language Arts, etc) that I've had are the most whiny and bad tempered beings I have EVER come across. You cant help but be scared of them to the point no one wants to ask for help when working. This school needs to take the time and effort to seriously make this school better because said faculty is absolutely immature. The teachers offer absolutely NO motivation for any of the students attending this school. Please, save your children from a horrible education and do not go to this school just because it is close to where you live. Do your kids a favor and save them from the stress and peer pressure from this school. - Student

I am a parent of my child who has been attending this school for quite sometime. I have had the worst experience any parent can imagine and would never desire any parent to go through what my child and myself have been through. This staff may act like professionals but at the end of day they have no interest for the education and making our children strive to success. My child has an IEP and they say they are willing to work with him and myself as the a parent involved. But I believe they do not have the knowledge or strengths to work with kids with special needs. They label these children as troubled kids who will not succeed. I have fought many battles and will continue to fight them because I believe my child will succeed with them or without. Its sad that as parent we have to be hurt by staff that we leave our children too 5 days a week and know how to manipulate situations. I just pray that my child will get the services he needs I am very disgusted and disappointed with the whole situation. No matter how much a parent is involved is not good enough for them. Its a shame how certain things fall through the cracks.......

This school has alot of potential to really raise the bar. However, the administration lacks determination, professionalism, and empathy. My experience has been that the children that need help, do not get it. YOU either have to beg or write a letter. There is poor communication. The teachers rush you when you want to chat with them about a concern. The first day of school was pretty bad. They had people working in the main office that did not know each other. I spoke to several women, and none was wearing I.D, and there were boxes of books on the floor. I feel that there is a fracture in the system. I took a day off from work to attend a Kindergarten orientation, it was such a waste of time. My third grader is confused about his teachers way of teaching, and so are we. Lastly, they have not had an after school program since last year. Working parents, single parents are having difficulty with the picking up and the child after school care. Neighborhood mothers and women are offering services for a fee. I would pay an affordable fee for a well strluctured after school program. Why is this service not an option.

PS/MS 194 is a school full of immature teachers and I am fed up! The princiopal is very unapproachable and unwilling to come off her high horse. They should receive a c-d rating in my evaluation. I am a mother of 3, which my oldest just moved on to high school. My middle son is in the 5th grade and has an amazing teacher. There are many ups and downs at the school.....I have been an involved parent for 3 years....this will be my fourth. Out of all the time I have been with my children at this school there are only a small handful if that who attend PTA meetings. The school is over crowded no doubt about this.....but with the help of teachers and staff things go smoothe.....There needs to be more parent involvement!! It is really sad that the only time a parent decides to show up is to complain about something, why not show up just to see what you can do to help???? Hmmmmm, something for you mom and dads to ponder upon.

Worst school ever. All the faculties are rude the principal spend too much time punishing students that she forgot to notice the LOW GRADUATION RATE ...Teachers plays their favorites and they accept hundreds of students at the beginning then start transferring them to another school after few months due to over crowd. Don't even give a proper notice just send a letter by child and says don't come tomorrow.

First I want to start by saying that this whole school itself is very crowded for the simple fact reason cause they want money.the principal DO NOT care for the students aducation,Ever since they change the male principal to the female principal this school went down & the students are failing.the teachers are not satisfied so they do what ever they want,my son is 8 yrs old & he was denied by the teacher, the principal & the parents coordinator to use the bathroom.my son was tearing begging to use the bathroom while in line & they decide to ignore him. I myself as a parents asked the staff & the parent coordinator may my son Please use the bathroom & she told me no with an attitude,i begged her can i take my son myself to use the bathroom & she told me no,While she saw my son crying. Some teachers in this school do not have experience or certification to teach these students. The only thing that the principal cares about is her appearance, the school only have like 4 responsible teachers who really cares for the students & their education,so please if you are planning to put your kid in this school PLEASE think twice,Dont be fooled by the outside & their fake smiles.Protect your child
