Legacy Prison Prep is a fitting name for this school, as children are treated more like inmates than students, with little to no freedom. They are required to remain silent for long periods, and any sign of them simply being kids results in punishment. While structure and discipline are important, this approach feels more like a dictatorship—“do it because I said so.” The leadership and cultural disconnect of these institutions often reflect in their practices. Families in urban areas should be cautious when considering schools founded by predominantly white organizations.

They really sell you with everything they offer at the school. However, the school is horrible and it starts with the administration. Should I start with the policy that they pick and choose when to enforce or the dean's that bully the students. You have grown men (ex dean Brown) gossipin and talking bad about the students in their face. You have staff (Assistant principal) that will go out their way to make school miserable for your child. I would not recommend this school to anybody.

From what my daughter has told me… This school is terrible. Although they have good classes and are trying to help these kids be successful in life the school is way too strict and it’s very stressful. Not what I expected and this is only my daughter’s first year here. Now I’m going to have to find another school. They need to do better.

Great school but not for special education students. If your child struggles with impulsivity or has an IEP they will be punished for it here. My son was in detention nearly every week for very simple things he has trouble controlling even at home. The teachers were excited to give him detention. I took him out in the 7th grade and he is doing great in a public school getting the help and support he needs.
