My daughter went to Longden to her 1st grade in the 2018-2019 school calendar. It was just amazing, this school and the staff are great, they really care about everything. My daughter did not speak a word in English because we had just moved from another country. Her teacher, Mrs. Wong, was so kind, so worried, and show great care to our little one. My daughter did not take any ESOL class, she was speaking English within her 100 days almost as any other native speaker. We really miss Longden Elementary and Mrs. Wong as well.I remember we had a small bullying issue from one of my daughter's classmate when we addressed that to her teacher, the issue was solved immediately and in the end, the kids became friends, all because the adult, in that case, was able to handle very well.

Poor. I will no longer continue taking my child to this school for the next school year in 2019-2020. I will transfer my child to Emperor Elementary School. I've asked my co-workers about their experience with Longden Elementary School. They too confirmed their experience at Longden was poor and they had to make a transfer for all their children to Emperor Elementary. I cannot wait for this school year to be over so I can transfer my child to Emperor Elementary.

Average. I would say there was a time when I was so happy for the children to be a part of this district and school, but not so much anymore.

My 4th grader has been attended Longden since kindergarten, but he is still struggle on reading. I have brought to the school attention, but the school reacted as he is at his grade reading level. He can't even pronounce 'scenario' , 'components', 'comply', 'government' etc.

It s the second year with a new principal, and all I can say is, Thank God for Mr. Rudd . He works very hard and respects parents, students, and teachers alike. Longden is a high-performing school and teachers adhere to a high-standard of education. Special treatment and student favoritism can be pretty blatant with some teachers, though. But I m still happy with Longden though.

I think longden elm school has the best teachers and staff. All the teachers at longden work very hard with all the students. And I know this school should get the money! Longden elm school keeps very good care of the schools grounds, and it is very safe for our children.

Longden provides quality public schooling. Like most of the schools in the district, it lacks diversity in terms of students and teachers. The curriculum is very eurocentric, slanting toward the American ideal rather than championing the wonder of our collective humanity. Although demographics show a predominance of Asian students, the co-curricular programming smacks of a by-gone era of country-westerns, nostalgia for the 50's, and golden-age Temple City Irish culture. Like any education, parents should make sure to supplement their child's learning here with a variety of learning experiences beyond the classroom. Failure to do so will result in a distant, 2 dimensional, unambitious, sleep-walking child that will ultimately end up in the armed-forces, lower middle-class, pre-designated career path, and live a life of quiet desperation.
