We have 3 that attend this school and are very happy with everything. Love the weekly field labs. The teachers and all staff are so caring and know each student by name.

Environmentally responsible & progressive, directly encouraging our future citizens to be a part of the help our planet needs. The marine science focus is exactly what our oceans need and the long term work to sustain and protect our oceans starts with the kindergartners, building a long term base of environmental and ocean stewards. Wonderful teachers and atmosphere within the school - we love OSCS!!

This school has been amazing for our daughter. She is in Kindergarten and she has learned so much from Mrs. Sam and Mrs. Jen. She is almost on chapter books already and every day she comes home with so many new things to tell me that she has learned. The field labs are always so much fun for her and she has stepped out of her comfort zone a few times which was nice.The teachers and staff keep everyone well informed on upcoming events and any kind of fundraisers that they are having.Can't wait for the middle school to open! looking forward to not having to put her in a new school for middle school now!

My daughter has attended Ocean Studies for 3 years and we continue to see growth. This school doesn't just bring academic excellence but also molds are kids to be productive members in the community.

My son has been here since kindergarten is this thriving - he is now in 5th grade. He has always been shown support academically and socially. I would highly recommend this school to any family in the Florida Keys.

Our experience is mixed. For one thing, I have stated concerns in our opinion about the leadership and staff in the "leadership" section of this review.Yet, the curriculum is great and our child is happy and learning, but with the prospect of possibly facing yet another new teacher next year. We do have our concerns.In addition, one of the other parents told me he looked up info on the instructional staff and only a couple of the teachers are actually qualified or experienced to teach at a public school. Not sure how this information compares to other schools in the area. But, this may be a difference between private and public schools
