Truly a terrible school. No communication at all between teachers or admin and parents if you need to deal with issues. Good luck ever getting records or any sort of response from anyone. Your child will end up ridiculously behind and you'll be paying for tutoring. A couple years ago I found out my child (who had gone there for years) was 5 grade levels below where they were supposed to be, all while getting straight As at this school. From what I understand tuition is over 20k now, since everyone is eligible for scholarships now. They seemingly take advantage of special needs kids higher scholarship amounts. The list goes on.

Before Solid Rock, I struggled with anxiety and social challenges in public school. I was an odd little kid. I was labeled gifted but held back by extreme anxiety. I was lost in a big school and did not fit in. I had an IEP which allowed me the opportunity to move to a private school. The switch to Solid Rock was an immediate positive change. The smaller environment, where everyone knows each other, made me feel valued. The staff truly cares and listens—you’re not just a number.I quickly made friends, gained confidence, and joined after-school activities. In 11th and 12th grade, I did college dual enrollment, graduated with a high GPA, and got into my choice college. Now, as a successful adult, I look back on my time at Solid Rock with gratitude. The special events were top-notch, and I had so many opportunities my public school neighbors did not. There are so many advantages of a smaller school and tight knit community. Solid Rock provided an experience that helped me thrive both academically and socially and truly changed my life for the better.

As a parent in Tarpon Springs, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have discovered Solid Rock Community School. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth, dedication, and genuine care for each student's academic and personal growth.Let's start with the faculty. They're not just educators; they're mentors, guides, and advocates for every child who walks through those halls. Their passion for teaching is palpable, and it translates into engaging lessons, individualized attention, and a supportive environment where students feel empowered to excel. What sets Solid Rock apart is its commitment to holistic education. Yes, academics are rigorous and comprehensive, but equally emphasized are values like compassion, integrity, and critical thinking. The school fosters a sense of community where diversity is celebrated, and students learn to respect and appreciate one another's differences.

This is our 5th year at Solid Rock and we love the school and the values it represents. We moved schools when COVID started and Solid Rock handled that difficult situation well. We have multiple children and have attended many area private schools over the years so I feel I have a good perspective. This is the longest we have ever stayed at one and we plan to stay and to graduate from here. Private school prices like everything else have increased. This is an independent private school and I recently did a comparison of schools and their price is equal to other similar schools. Their class sizes are below 20. The classrooms are nice. The campus is very clean and attractive. They have many long term staff members and it’s clear they love their jobs. They have had a couple duds but what school or business hasn’t? Im the person if I have an issue with someone, I go into the school and discuss it in person. We come from a previous school that literally changed the majority of staff each year. There is good teacher retention here. They have all the normal classes any school offers like math and language arts but they are very creative with electives and special classes. I think the way they include themes like character traits, animal experiences, nature trails, outdoor classrooms, daily PE is very helpful in making a more impactful and interesting daily experience. They give the kids an hour for lunch, with no cell phones, which I think is very smart. Public school lunches are from a can and are generally nasty. Many private schools do not offer lunches. I love that the school serves fresh made lunches everyday. They tie their lunch program in with health and sustainability and gardening. My family is not plant based and honestly we tend to eat quick meals at home, but we have learned so much about health and food, we have started making healthier choices at home. If you don't like the lunch option that day just pack a lunch. It’s your choice. There are volunteer opportunities and many ways to get involved IF you want to. You’ll be as active as you want to be. The school is very appreciative of the parents who turn out for things. Solid Rock has big school things like dances, competitive sports, afterschool clubs. Many smaller schools don't offer these things. Our kids can participate or not. It’s their choice. I am happy with Solid Rock and recommend them.

Not a good school for child with IEP or 504 plan or special needs in general. This school is not qualified to handle this type of learning. School is very over priced and communication is very poor between teachers and parents. Child will fail and teacher will never contact you for an intervention. Meetings and conferencing is not easy and is on their own time of convenience. For the price you shell out at this school there should be some sort of compensation as far as conferencing and care and support. Vegan beliefs are pushed and forced by watching documentary videos at school time. Children are made to feel uncomfortable for what they eat if it’s not vegan and also in footwear if it’s leather shoes. I mean come on people isn’t it the education that makes this school the price that it is? Not at solid rock! Prices are for the plain profit of the owners and not for the students! It’s a sad school and if they do t fix this I feel it will be closed down pretty soon!

This school is just an over-priced daycare center. They charge you for every little thing and don't tell you. You find out by looking at your child's profile account. I had my child test 3 different places. My child was going into the second grade and was at a Kindergarten level. The child had to repeat the 1st grade. My child had to spend the whole summer in tutoring. The communication is horrible unless they are collecting money from you. Look into a better school even if it costs more money. My child's education has been boosted so well at a different school I couldn't be more excited. I look forward to seeing how well he excels in the future. My child would tell him kids were mean and the teachers didn't do anything about it. A lot of play and not enough education. When I asked for help they said I don't know what to suggest for you and as a academic advisor that is an unacceptable answer

Solid Rock Community School provides an inclusive, supportive and creative learning environment where my son continues to grow both academically and socially. The staff and faculty genuinely care about helping students and have great communication with parents. If you are looking for a K-12 school, I highly recommend Solid Rock!

Solid Rock has been wonderful for both of my girls! I was very blessed to have found the school. My oldest is graduating this year & with their support & accommodations they have made it a very enjoyable experience. She is looking forward to continuing her education in college. Solid Rock has been able to modify the instruction for what my younger daughter needs for success.

Solid Rock Community School is a unique and special school, in the best of ways. In addition to the standard academics, students are exposed to lessons that public schools and other private schools do not offer. From the fresh, hot, chef-prepared, daily plant-based lunches; to Friday workshops offering real-world, in-person, hands-on experiences; to the small, diverse classes taught by specially trained, supportive teachers; I just cannot say enough great things about this school. I've had kids enrolled at SRCS for over 7 years. I cannot imagine choosing any other school for my kids.

I cannot express enough how pleased we are with Solid Rock Community School for our family. From the outset, their innovative approach to education stood out, offering a curriculum that balances academics with creative expression. The environment is supportive and encouraging, helping students to push their boundaries and explore new areas of interest. The school's emphasis on compassion and inclusion align perfectly with the values we wish to instill in our children. It's refreshing to see a school that not only talks about these important issues but also lives them out daily through its programs and community initiatives. The staff and teachers at Solid Rock are truly good people. They bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to their classes and are genuinely invested in each student's success. Their approach to holistic education, focusing on emotional as well as intellectual, has made a significant difference in our child's outlook and self-confidence.Choosing Solid Rock Community School has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for our family. It's more than just a school; it's a community that nurtures, educates, and inspires children to become their best selves. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent considering it for their child's education.

We are very happy in our choice to send our daughter to this school. The teachers are amazing and the campus is beautiful- and the lunches great! The way they are handing covid concerns is reasonable and appreciated. Its a terrific school and we look forward to many great years here.

As a parent of 2 graduates of Solid Rock I was very happy with their school experience. They were able to enjoy sports, Friday night football games, dances, a wonderful graduation ceremony, and all the things I wanted them to experience while in high school in addition to strong academics while attending Solid Rock. My oldest son was dual enrolled in college while a junior and senior and my younger son was able to do an internship his senior year in the field that he wished to pursue upon graduation. The staff was always helpful and I felt that, upon graduation, my children were well prepared for the next step in life academically, socially, and emotionally.

My children both attended Solid Rock Community School and had very positive experiences there. That's saying a lot for the school's ability to reach children with different learning needs since my children are polar opposites whose needs are vastly different. SRCS was excellent about meeting their individual needs. My children were able to develop individual relationships with their teachers that I believe fostered a trust in them that helped motivate them to learn more. I hope some day my grandchildren will be attending SRCS and gaining the same benefits their parents had.
