I have not had a bully exp with mine so far just typical tit for tat stuff, the principal now Regina Gordon seems to do very well with the kids and mine love her especially my 11 yr old. my only complaint at this school is the "cop" who seems to love to turn a blind eye for some parents then start harping on others. example: one parent drops 4 kids off at the crosswalk literally stops right in front of me to do it so I let my kids out with hers and he starts yelling at me and acts like he didn't see her do the same thing, then makes me call my kids back and park while she pulls away and drives off he never said a word to her and this was not the 1st altercation with him. other then the school cop the school itself has been great and so have the teachers my kids have bad adhd and they have help them get on track and have specialized programs to give extra help they are great with special needs. other then the covid stuff, missing being able to walk them in on their 1st day and their rude cop the school has been great for mine.

Very poor, heart breaking! All we want is to see our children achieve and become successful adults. That starts here, yet the children have to be more concerned about getting beat up on and other bullying, not just by one child but by many.

This school has went down hill my oldest son attended since kindergarten and is now in 5th grade he has been in 5 classes this year due to teachers quitting and is falling behind. My youngest who is in 2nd grade is falling behind behind as well and dealing with bullying. Both of my kids attended Twin lakes for 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 and did great any situation was immediately handled and when they had a tough time with the work the teachers gave extra help as well as calling conferences when needed and theyre grades were always great. As for Forest Hills NY boys will not attend next year and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone it has dropped to an F school in the last few years

I will be completely honest my daughter has been there since kindergarten she is now in 4th grade, all the teachers that she has had are amazing they are great teachers great people and Academicly she has done well every single year she gets good grades and she's a good girl but her last year in third grade she was having a lot of problems in the cafeteria when I looked into this. I found out that they basically have no supervision whatsoever in the cafeteria, a lot of fights go down, and a lot of bad things happen in the cafeteria that the teachers never know about because of either not paying attention or they're not there! She rode the bus in second and third grade , ever since then she has had nothing but trouble on the bus. last year there was a girl who was constantly bullying her around there is kids saying vulgar things and now the year has just started and a little boy made a sexual pass on my daughter on the bus said something very disgusting to her adults don't even usually say! You can guarantee she will not be riding the bus anymore but as for the overall school I'd say they are a pretty good school..Just need some more supervision in those areas I mentioned.

Forest Hills Elementary is a star school...its population is privileged to be under the direction of someone who truly and genuinely cares about children and their education....heir principal Shelly Hermann. I see a great future and many accomplishments at Forest Hills Elementary.

FOREST HILLS IS THE BEST SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! my son went from being on satisfactory on Shaw Elementary School to now beeing on Excelent. His grades are much better because the teacher, Mr. Dunn, has done an excellent job explaining things better than my son's teachers at Shaw!! Forest Hills will remain his school until he is out of Elementary School. He wil go on 2nd grade when school starts again in August 2013. I am praying that he gets his Kindergarden Teacher, Mr. Rodriguez since he will be teaching 2nd grade next school year :-)... I recomend this school!!!

Regarding the award ceremony this evening - a friend pointed out... "Kinda sounds like they are being prepped for an early release program from prison. Be bad, go to jail, act good, get out early(the trophy). How about recognizing the good kid for always behaving, doing their work, being cooperative, not going to jail. These reward systems create adults who expect every thing handed to them, no matter what they do. And life probably won't work out that way for them."

Great administrators, teachers, and students. The only complaint I have would be more parent involvement.
