My son went to this school for 2 years (2021-22 and 2022-23). Sadly, we are moving far away and will have to change school. Based on our experience, Mary Bryant elementary is excellent. I have no complaints. This is a very good school in every sense.

Great teachers and principle who care about the students. School is run like a private school with uniforms, etc. but it’s a free, public school

I have been a parent at MB for almost 8 years. I am sad to say that this is my last year at this amazing school since my youngest is a 5th grader. We have lots of great memories. Mary Bryant is not just a school it is a village of many caring individuals with the same goal in mind, the success and safety of our children. I am not just a parent, I am also a volunteer. By getting involved it helped my see and understand all that it takes to make this school great. I appreciate ALL that EVERYONE there does from the custodians to the principal. We will miss MB a lot :)

When my daughter went into the fourth grade, she was excited to learn all of these new things. She is pretty advanced so you would think that she had no trouble. But she did. Not academically but with the students her age. She dealt with a lot of drama, and on the last day of school, it got so bad that she couldn't control her emotions and cried. As soon as I walked into the host pickup area, I immediately noticed that she was sitting alone, not with anyone, not enjoying herself at the party. I was very upset. Overall it is a good school, but wish that the faculty and staff would pay more attention to the fact that not everything is perfect everyday.

Excellent, caring, and supportive staff. My child has had a wonderful experience with all of his teachers since Pre-k and up. He has really shown growth and every teacher he has had has been effective at communicating his strengths and areas to focus on. Bryant has many extra curricular activities to choose from. The office staff has always been kind and informative as well as the administration. I am excited for my younger child to start her education at Bryant next school year. I feel that my child is being well prepared not only with the academics but with life soils as well.

Excellent school. I have two children currently attending Mary Bryant and feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community. They have a great staff and offer many well run programs.

This is my child's first year at Mary Bryant. Today, my child was to be picked up early. When my husband showed up there at 2:00pm. He was told that he could not pick up our child. I put a note for the teacher in her folder this morning, notifying the teacher. I understand that the school has a policy about no picking up after 1:30pm. The teacher was notified, if there was any question, it would have been nice for the teacher to reach out to one of us to verify what time and to let us know of the policy. My child was put in the wrong line. My husband had to look for her and was late for an appointment. If these teachers go above and beyond. Why could she not have emailed my to inquire about the time and let us know about the policy. The dropped the ball on child safety.

Having taught at Mary Bryant for 12 years, I know how devoted the administrators and teachers are in providing the children with the best possible education. While I worked at the school, I witnessed both administrators and teachers spending many, many hours beyond the school day and on weekends, using their own personal time for school related activities to help children and their families. On a day to day basis, I observed dedication, caring and hard work from all those interacting with the students.

Teachers are very caring and go above and beyond the call of duty. The school is very organized and well run. I have to children who attend and have both had amazing experiences.

Bryant Elementary is a superb school! I have had two children attend and my youngest sadly at Deer Park because we moved outside the zone. BY FAR Bryant is a much better school academically, including better teachers and administrative. I do like the former principal Mrs. Veranth better than Bass, and chose Deer Park ONLY because of Lou Cerreta and then we all were very disappointed when we got Mrs. Perebski. Your children will get by far a better education at Bryant and will be in advanced honor classes when they get to middle school.

Mary Bryant is a fantastic school with a great administration and teachers. This is our third year here. The education is top notched, giving the kids so many opportunities. I cannot say enough great things about Mary Bryant Elementary. Our experience is that the education here is better than local private schools.

I have been at this school since it first opened. My first child did wonderfully there. Of course there was a different administration at that time. My youngest child has had a horrific time at this school. She has had 3 great teachers. However, the rest of the teachers have been sub par. I attribute this mainly to the lack of or poor leadership by the administration. As parents we need to realize that the administration has to look at the school in totality. However, this administration does not even attempt to converse work with the parents when a situation arises. If you think your voice will be heard by the next level of administration you are mistaken. I have always tried not to interfere when my children say "the teacher is mean" or complain about their class. I want them to teach them that life is going to be like that and you have to find a way to get along. However, if I had it to do all over again I would have moved my youngest child to Deer Park. (I am not the only parent that feels this way.) If I had it to do over again I would have my child go to Deer Park. I have only heard wonderful things about that school.

I like most of the teachers but I would say that the problem is the administration. I agree 100% with some of the comments. They are unwilling to work with students individual needs regardless of the childs ability or the parents requests, the fund raising is beyond over the top-the Boosterthon this year was 2 weeks of classroom interuptions to get the kids pumped up to ask for money (even the teachers were annoyed). Based on what I hear from my friends at Deer Park and Westchase the education from Mary Bryant (at least in the lower grades) is not up to the standards as the surrounding schools.

My daughter is in her 2nd year at Bryant and so far the experience has been very positive. Her teachers each year have been phenomenal; caring, informative, and willing to engage us on class and curriculum structure. The first couple years a child is in school determine their attitude towards it and the teachers have made my daughter see school as a positive experience. My only concern is the constant fund raising that goes on. I'm sure this is probably the case at every school and while I understand the need, it seems like not a week goes by without my daughter coming home hawking something or needing to solicit money for some fund raising cause . She sometimes looks like a walking billboard due to all the stickers promoting the fundraisers that are put on her shirt. My real concern is that it's clearly emphasized aggressively because there are days she comes home telling us she "has" to get pledges or "has" to get more "fill in the blank." It's often hard to discuss her actual school work because she's so preoccupied with the fund raising task she's been given. Pretty sad that a 6 year old has such concerns.

I had to verify that information about my child's address was in the school's computer records. Followed normal school district process, but instead of getting what I needed, the principal (Karen Bass) was extremely rude and unprofessional once my identity was established, refusing to give me information I was legally entitled to have because of personal animus. This episode has been escalated and reported to the School District leadership. Teachers are great - school leadership is very poor.

We are very happy with Mary Bryant. We like the clubs that are available - Chess Club, Running Club, etc. and the AGP program. So far we have had good teachers and a good educuation. We previously went to a private school and found this to be very similar and slightly better without having to pay the cost of private tuition.

We moved to this area because of the school ratings. I'm sure glad that I like my neighborhood, but I am beyond frustrated with this school. This is our second year here and both years my daughter has received a very low-rate education. The writing lessons are boring, the math confusing and the teachers and staff very unfriendly and uncaring.

School is average for what you would expect in reading the reviews. It was much better with former principal but since then, new principal is not interested in working with parents or assisting with developing child's individual needs. Many teachers are less than happy and that reflects on the children. I recently moved my son to another smaller school nearby and he is flourishing. He ran up to me with a huge smile and said he loves school (first time in 4 yrs) Now that's priceless! I would not recommend chancing this school.

There are a lot of great teachers at this school, but the school lacks in extra-curricular activities and enrichment programs. (foreign language, music, art, etc) I think the academics are strong, but the school is very large and lacks a sense of community.
