My daughter had a wonderful experience in her 8 years at Cornerstone Learning Community where she developed into the confident, competent person she is today. She enjoyed a smooth transition to high school and recalls her years at Cornerstone fondly. She loves to come back and visit.

Our daughter graduated from Cornerstone and the skills (personal, social, and academic) and solid sense of self she gained during her time there have enabled her thrive in high school. The smaller school environment, being surrounded by people she knew genuinely cared about her, and being at the same school through 8th grade allowed her to have a consistent support network of teachers, friends, and other parents through the typically not-so-awesome middle school years most of us had. She could always still get a hug or celebrate a math victory with her elementary teachers while learning to tackle the increased personal autonomy and academic vigor that comes with upper grade levels in a familiar and emotionally safe place. The teachers always supported and fostered student curiosity, allowing students to more fully explores things of personal interest to them and providing opportunities for deeper learning not readily available at most schools. Students of all ages (yes - even middle school!) spend significant time outside not only for PE, lunch, and recess but all throughout the day. When weather is nice, it's not uncommon for a teacher to move a lesson outside, have reading time under a tree, or for a science class to turn into a sunny day scavenger hunt for plants or critters around campus. Students also go on LOTS of field trips to a variety of places including museums, stage performances, service trips, the farm, the firehouse, and too many more to list. The teachers, school, and parents really looks for ways for the students to see, experience, and support the larger community around them.

Our children have been exceptionally happy at CLC. They have deep friendships, incredible opportunities, and dive deep into learning about challenging topics. We have developed new friends, engaged with the school's social justice book group for adults, and find it to be a joyous and vigorous learning environment for our children. It is comforting to know our children are cared for so deeply by passionate and professional educators after we drop them off. And when we pick them up, inspired and empowered, with a brimming sense of possibilities and the creative curiosity to pursue their dreams, it affirms our decision to send them to a place where they'll do better than "just fine." They are doing exceptional.

This school really has taken a turn for the worse. I would highly recommend public school over this. Do not be fooled by the "nice" director or office staff. This non-profit is just in it for the money.

Cornerstone exemplifies what a great learning environment is meant to be: engaging, nurturing, challenging, creative, peaceful, and fun. The teachers are smart, calm, patient, and caring, and are able to give the children what they need physically, emotionally, and mentally. We need more schools like Cornerstone, and our children deserve the kind of education Cornerstone is able to offer.

Totally amazing place! We say we can't really afford this school but we can't afford not to send our son there. He is in first grade now and attended K there. He absolutely LOVES going to school and even wishes there were no weekends so he could go to school more. The school fosters a love of learning and is focused on development if the entire individual not just the academics which are themselves incredible.

Cornerstone Learning Community is an amazing school. My daughter has been going since she was 3 and is now in kindergarten. Cornerstone is a community of parents, teachers, staff and administration working together for the best interest of the children. The children learn through hands-on projects and real life experiences! I highly recommend Cornerstone and honestly believe it's one of Tallahassee's hidden treasures!

This school is amazing. The whole community is warm and welcoming and the staff is outstanding with great leadership and people who are genuinely dedicated to the school and its success. My daughter attended kindergarten and 1st grades there and she would still be going there if we hadn't moved out of state. There was never a day that she did not come home happy and I loved seeing her show me the amazing things she had learned. Cornerstone students thrive and the parents are actively involved on a daily basis. I cannot say enough how much I love this school. It is also relatively inexpensive as far as private schools go and there is financial assistance available to promote a diverse community.
