This is our second year at Piney Point and both our children love it. They have both grown confidently, academically and socially, since they started going to this school. Also, the staff and the teachers are really amazing they work hard to make sure your kids are living up to there potential. Love Love Love this school and can't say enough good things.

I went to this school a very long time ago and while I had two of the best teachers ( both have passed) I can't help but ponder some of the academic treatment I received there. For example I was placed in a remedial reading class, moved to the west coast and was placed in an advanced reading class within 2 months. And did well. I hope it wasn't a race issue and I hope this school has progressed since then.

This is our 4th year at Piney Point. We have found all interactions with staff to be warm and caring. My son is very happy here.

Fabulous! That's the word I would use to describe Piney Point Elementary from the student body, teachers, administration, Parent-Teacher Organization, Building Services, Cafeteria and Bus Drivers. Just finishing our 3rd year (Grades K,1st, 2nd) and could not be more pleased! Sadly, we are moving to North Carolina and will greatly miss PPES. I never worried one day, during those 3 years for the safety, well being & education of my son. The community that makes up PPES are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet. From farm families to military families to defense contract families, they all pull together to support the students and faculty in the most impressive display of a united community. I wish we could stay in this great school!

I have to say I totally disagree with the last few reviews. I also just moved out of state and this is my children's first year in Piney Point elementary and I felt welcomed the minute I walked in the office to enroll my children. I have no complaints so far, especially since when I first moved to the area my kids attended Carver elementary school in lexington park and recieved poor uncooperative treatment. My children also love this school as well. No complaints so far:-)

I have to agree with the last two reveiws.. the teachers are absolutely amazing at PPES but the staff in the front office is incredibly rude.. My daughter has attented Piney Point for two years and I have yet to recieve a welcoming greeting from the staff here. They are what keep me from volunteering even though I used to volunteer all the time at her previous elementary school all the time. We will be moving over the summer however so we will thankfully be at a new school next year.
