My daughter attended Colonial Heights from 2nd - 8th grade and had the best experience, previously she was at another Lincoln Unified school (Claudia Landeen) that school was just terrible. At Colonial Heights the teachers, counselor, principals and office staff have always been great at handling our concerns and assisting with her accommodations for ADHD.

I would never recommend this school to anyone who has a child with any kind of special needs. The old principal, Mrs. Oechel, was wonderful. Since the new principal and vp took over, the school has gone down the toilet.

So far my children have had great teachers. The staff and principal are very good. I haven't had any problems. They handled a bullying incident quickly and efficiently. Though I must say I only know of one incident in the last 3 years. My children's teachers have been very helpful and very dedicated to making sure that they get the help they need to understand what they're being taught so they don't fall behind great counselor as well. There's also great communication.

Mrs Oechel handled any issue quickly and professionally. My daughters grades and confidence level became higher at this school. Great school run by great staff. Office personel were friendly as well.

In changing from a private school setting to the public school, we were very impressed. The transition for our forth grader went very smoothly. The teachers were great in helping her to understand the classroom proceedures. We appreaciated the boundaries set for behavior and academics. We are happy to have our child in this school. Is the school perfect? No. But it is continually changing to help the students acheive to the best of their ability.

The staff (teachers included) made the transition to this school a non issue for my fourth grade daughter. As a parent bringing his daughter from a small private school I was concerned about her and how she would react. Great job everyone and thank you for making this transition a great experience for a fourth grade girl.
