The teachers are very proficient at teaching the children. However, the zero tolerance policy for parents to drop off their children in the school's driveway in the mornings, especially when it is raining, is appalling. I usually respect the school's policy since some parents choose to block roadways, but allowing a few bad apples to ruin the bunch is unfair and unjust. Rather than allocating resources and funding elsewhere, the school would hire a dedicated "parking lot attendant" to block your vehicle and harass you.

I give this school 5 stars because the new principal is so wonderful. The teachers seem to care more about changing the mascot than they do about the kids. They want the kids to stand in an alley, locked out in the morning rather than go in for a good breakfast. I believe the district should move those uncaring teachers out and hire people who really do care for the beautiful children there.

I was very pleased with the way the Principle at Clairmont handled the bully problem as soon as I addressed the problem to her. And it was handled in a prompt, kind with the no tolerance on bullying. Also my granddaughter 2nd grade teacher Ms.Podesta has been a great help in making learning fun for her. So I believe Clairmont is a great school.
