This school covers up incidents that could be solved by calling the parent's first. Instead, they call the assistance principal located 11 miles away. Then he may be at a different school, not available or absent! No administration except a secretary who also sub's in different classes, then everybody becomes the secretary! Absolutely screwed up! I will not name individuals, but I would fire people if they treated students the way they have! If you have a special needs child, don't enroll them here! Choose Avon, which is not in this district!! The elementary principle's wife is in charge of special needs assessments in Tyndall!!! These people find it easier to blame parents for discipline problems, but instead of handling these issues, the send you to a private counseling center in Yankton! Save your child's transition to junior high and high school by starting them in Tyndall. Buses run from Springfield to Tyndall daily!

This is an excellent school. Kindergarten and 1st are together, 2nd & 3rd grade together, and 4th & 5th grades round out the 3 classrooms. There is a learning room for chapter students. The teachers are excellent in all rooms. I recommend this school. The children learn so much from attending these dual classrooms that I can only recommend. The children retain more information. All students have a head-start in the learning game. The students have access to a hugh library, computer resource room, a gym, and music room. The staff are nice and know how a school is run. The teacher aides and substitutes are caring teachers. The playground is hugh with a whole city block as their own. Playground equipment, grass, paved out-side basketball court, and did I mention grass! All fenced in. The kitchen staff prepare two delicious meals. Breakfast and lunch. The kitchen is modern and clean. The school is handicap accessible at all doors. The children receive excellent learning skills and reading, social studies, math and science are so important. The children are responsible for raising the flag and saying the pledge. Bus service is available.
