My son was sent home the wrong way yesterday even though he told teachers he was not supposed to walk. He was found crying and wandering a few streets over from us while his dad waited for him in the car rider lane. This is absolutely unacceptable. He was found by a stranger who walked him home to me. This stranger was more responsible in caring for my son's safety than the teachers I'm expected to trust. I asked for a formal apology in writing. Instead I was called by my son's teacher who tried to blame me. When she realized that wasn't working she blamed my son and said he told her he needed to walk. He didn't but even if she did, why would she take his authority over mine which she had in writing? She then blamed the office workers claiming they gave her bad information. He made it home correctly the day before. They took no accountability and didn't even apologize to my son for the pain they caused him. He cried and told me he was afraid to go to school today. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This school has outstanding principals, some wonderful teachers/staff, and a great PTA! The school is not invested in as well or as generously as other schools but our teachers and PTA go the distance in applying for grants, awards, and earning to make it an awesome place. Many of the teachers and staff are very passionate and that makes Parson Hills amazing. The school has it's own little community and everyone meets at the school grounds even in the summer, it is a comfortable place. It Is currently a low income school but there is so much positive and brilliance here that it truly is notable.
