I encourage Ms. Michelle Doshierto participate and learn more about diversity events throughout the year. Although there are only less than 4% Black/ African American children enrolled, showing interest and representing Black History Month as well other months like Asian American etc. would show that the school has a diverse/ inclusive environment. I immediately removed my child because this school lacked diversity/inclusive appreciation

Is this a good school? Yes, absolutely. Has this been a good school for our family? Objectively, no. Has our experience been abnormal? Perhaps, yes. As a parent of a child with a disability that can function fully in a classroom, the experience has been rough. Has our child been a challenge for staff? undoubtedly. Is funding extremely tight and makes supporting kiddos with IEPs and 504s hard? absolutely. But what I will not accept is my child getting talked down to by authority. I will not accept side comments and hurtful comments to be uttered in the presence of my child. Say what you need to say to me as the parent but my child will be out of earshot. Respect me, as the parent, when I ask that my child be respected as a person. And you know what, when we give you tips and tricks that work and you don't listen to us, don't wring your hands when consequences come. Perhaps one of my biggest complaints is an aide that told me, "maybe if you spanked your child more, he wouldn't cause these problems." Sorry folks, I don't abuse my kids. Suggesting that physical aggression is the answer for a nuerodivergent child struggling to understand his emotions and be on the correct medicine is completely unacceptable.I fully understand that I live in Arkansas and that religion plays a large role in culture and society but separation of church and state exists. Especially in the culturally diverse area of NWA. There are children of all faiths in the classroom. Having teachers put Bible verses up in the classroom is unacceptable. Having teachers talk about their faith to young children is irresponsible. Hearing of kids that feel left out because their family doesn't believe in the same God as the teacher, breaks my heart. If you have a nuerotypical kiddo, this is a fantastic school for you.If you have nuerospicy kids, look elsewhere.

I am not a good writter. What I can say about this school is Excellent. I have 2 kids in this school and I can not be more happier. Excellent, from the principle, admin staffs, teachers to people working in cafeteria.

As a dad who has two kids at Hunt, I couldn't be happier. This school consistently ranks in the top ten in the state in several dept of Ed reports. Very high functioning families compose its base. We bought a home in the J. B. Hunt Elementary zone specifically because we wanted our kids to go here K-5. Only error on this website it that the student population is only 600...much lower that Great Schools reports.

I have worked in the cafeteria as a monitor for Hunt these past two years and am coming back again this year. The staff here is an amazing one. The parent in volvement in the school is like none I have ever seen. So many volunteers serving this school. The kids are great and fun to interact with. I help the kids with opening their milk when they need it or those ketsup packages. I make sure they maintain a relatively quiet atmosphere while still being able to talk with their friends. It is a rewarding job because in some cases I may be the only male influence they see that day. So many homes today in our country are without dads. My hat goes off to the moms that raise kids on their own. You are truly an inspiration of doing the work of two. I would highly recomend this school to anyone who wants their child to feel loved by the staff and to excell in acedemics. Huskies rock!

We could not love JB Hunt Elementary more! Our daughter went there from K-5 and our son is currently in the 4th grade. The teachers are excellent and really care about the kids. The whole staff really seems to love what they do. My kids were challenged and thrived at Hunt. We also love the other families that attend there. Parents are highly involved. We don't know of a better atmosphere for learning and growing than Hunt Elementary.
