I think my experience at this school has been very fun.

Chemistry and Biology gave reviews as homework which were due the day of the test with no corrections prior to the test. Worksheets done in class the ENTIRE 2nd semester of Chem. Little, and poor teaching in both classes. AP Lit - kids wrote paper after paper that were "peer-reviewed", no instruction = no improvement! Awful class with a HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE READING SELECTION 2nd semester, and no reading list provided in advance. Surprise! FANTASTIC AP History teachers - US and World - the absolute BEST! Highly committed to the kids' success! "Counseling" is a joke. Don't even waste your time trying to see one - I don't know a single parent who ever has, unless they had a transfer student. Do your college planning on your own! Do your HS course selection on your own! And be careful, because changing classes takes an act of congress. Great selection of elective classes - we found the best teachers to be in those classes rather than in the core courses. Overall, probably an average experience, but in some cases very frustrating when your child WANTS to succeed and the core teacher(s) seem to be checked out. No innovation, creativity, or changes to improve results. Just status quo.

The previous reviewer is clearly angry about something. I have found the opposite to be true. We moved our oldest to this school in the middle of the year last year. His counselor spent an entire day and half of the next with him alone, making out his schedule and ensuring he was comfortable. The teaching staff is excellent. School sports are outstanding. My child has routinely expressed how much nicer his fellow students are than the kids he went to school with on the East coast. Har Ber is a great place to attend high school.

Terrible school and administration. Would not recommend Springdale Public Schools to any parent wanting a quality education for their children.
