BHCA has been a wonderful loving environment for my kids, as well as a support for our family. The staff have been amazing, and I am thankful for the Biblical teaching and the positive academic changes.

BHCA has been a blessing to our family. We moved from out of state and were very worried about our kids adapting to a new state, new school, new teachers and ect. BHCA made it so easy. They have been so good to us and to our kids. We had a preschooler that really struggled for the first couple of weeks and I got pictures and emails updating me to show me he was doing better. They are so loving and genuinely care about their students. Our other two kiddos are thriving and loving BHCA. BHCA is a great choice :)

Both of my children attended BHCA through their elementary years and had a wonderful experience. If you are looking for a great place to send your kiddos and a place where they feel seen and loved, BHCA is the perfect fit.

Black Hills Christian Academy has good intentions I believe. I've known many of the staff for several years and some I haven't known at all. We are as a family grateful for the choice we have in the Black Hills of education for our children and our grandchildren. In writing this review my intentions are to encourage every family that reads this to make school choice for your children not just about ideology but about your families best choice for each child's needs. Our family has been blessed to have home-schooled, public school, and private schooled our kids. Every choice was critical and every choice had blessings as well as consequences. When you choose a school or choose to home-school, in my experience after 26 years of parenting, as parents or single parent you choose a lifelong effect of your child's most critical growth in their lives. Saying that, when we made our choices, we had no idea what the journey would hold. I suppose my point is choosing Black Hills Christian Academy 10 years ago and still, we believe we made a great choice. Does that choice come with consequences, yes! Can we predict when making choices so critical that there will be very difficult not for seen seasons, no! Our family is a family united in Christ. We do the best we can. We live in a fallen world but we count the blessing we have in each other. That's what we are encouraging our children to do at the Black Hills Christian Academy. Are our children top of of line A+ well behaved super excited and excellent in every way at school, no! Do they fail daily, yes! My hope is that this school will continue to be a beacon of hope and an alternative to schools that aren't encouraging and uplifting our next generation of adults. Is it all about grades and being at the top? I guess, ask Jesus in prayer .. In my studies of the bible I never read that Jesus only loved the one who had straight A's and super character traits. As a matter of fact, the complete opposite. He loved all, especially the lowly in spirit and contrite in heart. May the Lord continue to bless Black Hills Christian Academy and it's staff and board of directors. May the Lord shine His face upon you and give you peace.

They kicked my 4 yr. old out because they didn't like him. How can you be biased to a 4yr. old. Shame on this school.

I told the school prior beginning the new school year that my daughter had an injury causing her to be slower to learning. They accepted her, and the principal was just delighted to have her and thought that since they sing songs it would help my daughter through her learning curves. during the last semester they called and said that they will not accept her for the following year as she doesnt meet their expectations. During the same phone call she stated that she wanted the 2nd payment to a non-mandatory trip to Washington DC. After thinking overnight about the news of my daughters non-acceptance of the new year, I realized I might have to make drastic changes which could mean moving to an area that has a better school for my daughter, I informed the school that since all was up in the air I couldnt be sure that my daughter would be in the area during the time of the trip. They immediately kicked both of my daughters out of school for canceling a non-mandatory school trip in which only 2 children were going to. Now we are struggling trying to find mid semester placement and were not given sufficient notice to do so. SAVE YOUR CHILDREN! They can and will do this to anyone and you too could end up struggling to find YOUR child proper schooling Mid-Year. Not worth the risk of injuring or hurting your child academically!!!
