This school is absolutely amazing! The staff and teachers are professional, yet welcoming and friendly. The principal is awesome!! I cannot say enough good things.

The principal ignores important incidents, like an 11 yr old having a knife pulled on him on his way home from school. 4 boys from the nearby high school waited on our street for random kids, got out ranted obscenities and then pulled a knife out on my grandson and his friend, 11 year olds ! We are horrified that this school principal and the district office did NOTHING to address this. Every administrator involved and the shefiffs dept ALL passed the buck and the non sworn school resource officer got dumped on. Sheriff did not even get the address and phone number right from the school. Its been 2 days and not one call from the district to talk to my grandson or apologize for letting him down by not caring enough to make sure he has a safe passage to and from school. Shame on high school vice principal for caring more about the kids that pulled the knife and not at all about the 2 little boys that could be dead today. NO, I do not recommend this school as long as they keep this unqualified principal in charge. Her secretary is just as bad maybe worse. Teachers are lazy and it shows, bullying is out of control !

WAY below standards. Lazy principal thats more for show than anything else. My grandson came to this school as an over achiever by this schools standards and they took him backwards in progress in one year. We home schooled him for 5 months , got him caught back up but again backwards when he went back. Disgusting !

I lost faith in public education after my son attended this school. (At the time of enrollment, this school scored 8/10-9/10 on this site) He was failing in this school, math and science were F's, and the teacher waited until the 2nd semester had started before bringing this to our attention. In bold red letters she had written "he doesn't listen and was UNable to pay attention..." It wasn't that he was struggling that made me pull him, it was that his 3rd grade teacher had given up on him. Using "unable" wasn't a poor choice of words (coming from a teacher who prides her spelling and vocabulary). This was her belief, that a 10 year old was unable... We chose to homeschool elementary and moved out of state before re-entry in brick and mortar. He is now an A student in highschool. Getting him out of Jesse Hall and Nevada schools was the best thing for him. And judging by the slide from above average, to just an average school in a below average state... And it's still a new school considering the year it was built. We had it right, don't allow this school to turn your kids into below average students, and most of all; never let anyone tell you your child is unable to do anything. If you feel this school is letting you or your child down, follow the North Star (local homeschool academy) or literaly move north into the Northwest, the schools are way better up there.

Both of my kids attended Jesse Hall, one with autism. Both kids made great strides level of knowledge and were always challenged to do even better. This was especially evident when we had to move out of state, where both kids were well ahead of their class. Also, Jesse Hall teachers are very engaged and really do listen to and act on parent concerns. I can't say enough great things about Jesse Hall.

Two of my kids attended this school and as an educator myself, I knew it was a great school. My thoughts were further confirmed when I moved away from the state and my children started attending a different school. Their new school, even though it is considered a top ranking school, pails in comparison. The teachers at Jesse Hall always challenged my kids and met their individual needs perfectly. Staff and Principal are great. In my book, it's the best school around!
