I have lived in seven or eight states in my life. My children are growing and my wife happens to work here. This is truly an EXCELLENT school. They have many teachers who truly love and care for their students. Their leadership is solid. One of the best principles I have known. They truly care about the students. One of the reason for the "4" rating is simply the State of Ohio. It is clear that the people in Columbus are not educators. They are business people. This has hurt this school. This school was a Blue Ribbon School just a couple of years ago. These, along with other changes, have negatively affected this school. It is also difficult for parents today to recognize that little Johnny or Susie was disciplined because they did something that they are not supposed to have done. This school is one of the best I have known. The negative reports simply do not reflect the integrity and strength the teachers have. I know many of them personally and they are awesome. Of course, there are a couple that not perfect. However, without a doubt, this school cares!

Agreed with those other two. They don't really care about kids. Who rated this school They don't know how to work. Just disappointed.

If you would like your child to have a quality education, do NOT send them to Burlington Elementary!! The staff is lazy. "Do the minimum!" Should be the Motto at this school. Several years ago, Burlington was rated very high. However an influx of "i'm a teacher so I can have summers off" has infiltrated them. Not only do they lack in assisting children who need extra help, they also lack on the talented and gifted students as well. No enrichment. The office staff primarily consist of a loud mouth, overbearing, opinionated and gossiping secretary. Who hasn't a clue what the word PRIVACY means. I have heard more from her about students/families than I ever cared to The assistant principal is a joke, is happy to discipline the girls for minor issues but yet the boys get away with anything. No after school program. According to them, no funding for it. No tutoring....not even when parents offer to pay for it, teachers do not want to take the time for the students. Lunch is horrible. Ants are constantly a problem along with continuous infestations of head lice. Could I say anything positive?? It's in a good location.
