The current administration has done much to change the culture of the school and there is a very positive atmosphere! The attitude of the kids has improved and new programs, such as the ACT21+ Club have been implemented. CTE is offering many new programs, such as nursing, welding and teaching for students.

My son loves the school. He is involved in football and Beta club. He thinks the world of his coaches and is excelling in his schoolwork.

My son is a junior at FWCHS this year an he very much enjoys it. I like the idea that he can take votech courses as well as academic courses as he is interested in automotive collision repair. The principal and assistant principal and secretary this year are phenomenal and I believe that they, along with the School Board and Board of Education, are trying to brighten things up around that school. We now have soccer and baseball thanks to booster clubs and there seems to be a better morale at the school. And sure, you've probably heard about gangs and fights and drugs but my son has never felt threatened by any of that. And look, this is a large school, of course there are gonna be fights and drugs, unfortunately. Success at school is what you make of it. You can be just as successful at FWCHs as you can any of the private schools around here ....

I am a sophomore at FWCHS. The school isn't completely horrible, but there is plenty of room for improvement. The electives and POS system is difficult to work with, especially if you wish to change them. The same goes for base classes. The block schedule is perfect though! Really does help me learn, having less classes each day, and then switching the next semester. I also like the fact that the freshmen are in their own seperate "school within a school" the NGA. It keeps them out of trouble. I look forward to the freshmen coming this year! Go Wildcats! Class of 2016! (I'm sure there will be plenty of reviews claiming my review to be fake because I'm not hating on the school. Sorry I'm an optimist. :) )

The reason the teachers don't send their kids to this school, which isn't entirely true, is because most teachers at Fayette Ware don't have kids the ages to go to high school or because we, yes I am a faculty member at the school, do not live in Fayette County. I will say that there are bad qualities to this school. There have been times this year I have grown very frustrated with things going on. I will say, however, that Fayette Ware CAN be an exceptional school. There is enough potential to become great. I am not a resident of Fayette County, but what I see as a problem is the overall attitude of those here. I see quality teachers, students, and parents who want to be better but just lack confidence to get it done. I persoanlly believe that Fayette Ware could be GREAT, but until the overall atmosphere changes it will never reach its full potential.

I graduated from fayette ware and I tell you, something is up with the wonderful reviews in this post. It seems like staff may be trying to "fluff up" fayette ware's ratings a little bit. Fayette ware was the worst four years of my life.I have two young children and I would not let them go to school there if it was my only option.

Fayette Ware is a good school for students to attend. I am a senior and I have had good years at this school. This school has improved with ACT prep classes to help students make higher grades on the ACT and more. It's not a perfect school, but I can say it's better than most high schools, believe it or not. Students do get along more than you think, and if anything does pop out of place, Mr. Hicks does what is needed to fix it. I rate this school above average because despite the fact that our building does not meet our needs, it does not stop us from doing our best when it comes to education. We could use an auditorium or something, but that's another topic.

This school can help your child succeed. Opportunites abound for students who want to excel in their education. The English Department is top rate - help my child raise their English ACT score 10 points in 2 years. The math department needs a little work, but it is being addressed by the principal and the superintendent of schools. The counseling department is also improving as new counselors are hired and educate the students on what is available for them both during their high school years and beyond. You could not have a principal who cares more about the achievements of his scholars. While we are lacking an abundance of AP courses, the district is working to add them in a quality manner so that students taking them WILL earn their college credit. Stop by and talk to the principal and take a tour of the school. What you see may surprise you.

FWCHS is an awesome school. The students are polite and well mannered. The teachers are caring and compassionate. Our principal is on point. My child is getting the necessary preparation for college. I feel safe sending my child to FWCHS. Our school offers ACT prep classes in both English and Math. The PTO is active; however, we need more parents to support the efforts of the organization. PROUD, PASSIONATE, PREPARED WE MUST PROTECT THE HOUSE. GO WILDCATS

There is too much negativity here and not enough support for college. We have a block schedule which means classes last only half the year. Math for half a year instead of the whole year! We have no ACT prep and my education has suffered.

Fayette ware is a nice school to attend, staff care about the students. Security is good about watching the students. Just continuing focusing on the students and be pride, passionate and prepared.
