Meece middle School is a public school with dedicated school staff, faculty and administrators. My son followed the instruction of his teachers. We assisted him with studying his subjects if not nightly then weekly. We found the parent portal helpful with following his progress. Robo calls and important hardcopy reminders from the principle advising on important test dates and prep info were helpful too. There are many more qualities this school has but time prohibits.

Not exactly a great school. My child complains of lack of challenging work, a crippled gifted/talented program, and undersized, undercooked lunches. The principal may send out a newsletter to parents every semester. My child says they aren't taught in some of their core classes. They say that they write down notes that are not taught upon, are given problems to do, and either its sink or swim. They say in one of their classes all they talk about is things totally irrelevant to that subject. Their grade has suffered due to this, I have tried talking to administrative officials about fixing these problems but they aren't useful. I will be pulling my child from this once great school district. And to you parents out there reading this. PLEASE don't put your child into the Somerset District. My child has suffered emotionally due to their incompetence, and I wish yours will not.
