Our daughter is now in second grade and has been attending Waterman since kindergarten. We recently moved to the district and have been thoroughly impressed with Waterman. The teachers are top-notch and the principal genuinely cares about the kids.

This is a wonderful school. My student is very happy and loves attending school. The principal and teachers are very welcoming and helpful. Students are known by name and not just as a number. Any student would be fortunate to attend this school.

That 1-star post (complete with misspelled words and insults) was a complete over-reaction and well... Insulting. I'm not well off and I'm not snobby. There are people like that everywhere. This is a fantastic school district and I'm constantly impressed by the care and attention my student receives. The best part about a small school is that you can advocate well for your child since the staff remembers you. My student, who is in kindergarten, was struggling and immediate attention was given to her and her needs. I'm also incredibly impressed with the reputation of the special education program and the way students with disabilities are treated at Skaneateles. This is an excellent school. Whoever wrote that post: you don't know a good thing when you see it. Your child is lucky to be here... please keep advocating for your child!

The staff at this school is very inattentive,to listen to your child come home and cry due to being picked on is rediculous in a school with the teacher/student ratio it possesses, my child attended a great 2 year preschool program where we were told after year one she was more than ready for kindergarten to a school where in the first semester she received a negative report card. A five year old shouldn't have to contend with the politics related to this district, by how much would my child's education improve if her last name was more "commonplace" in this fake little town

The amount of needed individual attention the kids get here is incredible. The teachers and staff are extremely friendly, communicative, and organized when it comes to the educational needs, health, happiness, and safety of each and every child under their roof. The school community is creative and enthusiastic. Waterman is not only a great place to begin, it truly is a great school.
