i'm currently in this school as a senior and my time was spent having to see fights and bomb threats last year, kids making out in the hallways, teachers getting mad at the kids and kids in general just getting on my nerves but i would recommend it for the clubs they offer and how helpful the career college lady is because you can ask her anything about college and she has the answer. some teachers are amazing to build a relationship with because they are usually calm and they actually have kids like them.the downside is the buses pickup and dismissal and kids being dropped off/picked up in cars, my mom has started to drop me off at school by car since the middle of last year but i go on the bus in the after noon, the car line isn't bad if you leave early but around 7:30 am its hella packed and there is only one street with two lanes going different directions and when we its dismissal kids and myself have to rush to our buses because its always full and thats another problem!! kids walk so slow and they walk in a line which takes time especially when your last period is in a corner and your spanish teacher doesnt let you leave early.

My son currently attends Springbrook HS and now in his senior year. Compared to other schools in this area, this school is by far the best. Like all other MCPS schools, they have issues with transportation due to not having enough buses/drivers to accommodate all the students. It is a public school so expect big class sizes. Different students have different experiences but my son prefers to stay here until he graduate.

Springbrook is a great school and has shown me the trust and care that they provide for students. My son (now a sophomore) has been doing great at school and is learning so much more every day. The teachers here show they care and believe that the student's voices matter. If you're thinking of sending your child here, do it!

Buses are overflowing to the point that students cannot go to school and no one is doing anything to help these kids. Even if complaints have been made nothing has changed and these students continue to miss school. My family members who go to this school have come to me and complained to me about how they can't go to school because there are so many kids on the bus that by the time it gets to their stop there isn't any space. Not only this but because the buses aren't doing enough parents are having to step up and drop off their children. The amount of parents going to drop off their children makes it so that the drop off line is extremely long and any students who are late because of how long this line is, are marked tardy. They are told that if they are late, even if it's because of how long this drop of line is, they will get ISS or weekend detention for having multiple tardies. When student's do not have a secure ride to school they will end up late. If the school wants to punish them, at least give them a standing chance by allowing them ways to get to school. To add to it, students are told they aren't allowed to drop out of the IB program if they are overwhelmed unless they meet certain criteria.

I went to Springbrook all four years and graduated in 2017. The teachers at this school are truly caring and put their heart in what they do for their student. The school does a great job of offer various courses in different areas of subject. This school is diverse, allowing for students to share, express and understand each others passion and cultures. I can honestly say the tolerance for bullying is very minimal to none. Teachers and students are responsive to stop and report bullying. Students with learning disabilities are encouraged to joined activities such as clubs and sports - no child left behind! Many teachers there share their experience and help guide students as they begin making their first big financial decisions and their next big step into the real world whether its college or the work force. Many of these teachers stay past office hours to help their students with grades, applications and scholarships. If you are considering enrolling your child into this high school, I highly recommend! I encourage them looking into the IB program offered! if not the various AP classes available and for senior year the internship program!

I graduated from Springbrook in May 2016, and I have to say that I had an excellent experience there. I was apart of the International Baccalaureate program there, and it was a wonderful eperience. I literally received a world class education, while developing close working and social relationships with my peers and instructors. While I initially desired to attend Paint Branch High School, my parents decision to send me to Springbrook was for the best. I am positive that my experience academically would not have been as fulfilling had I gone there. While the facilities may not be the best, Springbrook has a lot to offer. Do not be decieved by its lack luster appearance. I am so thankful for the staff at Springbrook and the opportunities afforded to me as a student athlete, and I would repeat the process, a hundred times over if I could.
