F. S. K MS is a really great school. The teachers are amazing and kind. There are a lot of after-school activities (i.e, cooking, basketball, soccer) and the teachers really want the things that they are learning here to impact their life even after school. For the special education, though, there's a lot of people who use "your're ED" and it might be offensive and hurt the people who actually have disabilities. I also think the teacher's don't offer much support and if you'd ever want to go to the nurse, they would be like "you're fine." when they can't really understand. Overall, Key is a really great school, as long as you don't mind the dramatic atmosphere and busy halls.

This is most likely one of the worst schools in Maryland. I go here and constantly have to deal with the teachers doing nothing about the fights and the students mental/physical health. All they care about is their reputation and deserve none of the attention they get. This is a horrible school with VERY biased teachers. Many teachers I've met have made homophobic/racist stereotypes and/or comments. hey have a horrible security team and pushes students to their limits when it's not even needed. Teachers constantly compare you to other students and pick favorites. The school has a bad bullying problem and does nothing about it. Is someone getting cyberbullied? Oh well. I've been kicked out of classes for "picking fights" with the teachers when all I was doing was correcting their mistakes.

The worst school ever probably in maryland. I go here and my experience sucks and all the kids fight and hit eachother and the teachers don’t care at all.

My child would come home talking about fights that were happening every week. They don't take our children as serious as they should be.

If it were easy enough send to our son to another school in the area we would. It was an incredibly long and stressful year. Thanks to his teachers and the administrative staff, he has lost a lot this past year with his academics, integrity, compassion and respect.

My son is gifted and has been kept challenged and engaged throughout his time at key. His teachers are enthusiastic and professional, the administrators are responsive, and his counsellors helpful. We feel very fortunate to be in the FSK area.

I am overwhelmingly happy with the experience my daughter has received at Francis Scott Key Middle School. The teachers are invested in each child learning inside and outside of the school. The music program is equal to a music magnet. Specially the Choral program, very challenging and rewarding at the same time. My daughter transferred in the middle of the year due to unexpected challenges at her prior school however my daughter was able to assimilate with no issues partly because of the teacher involvement. My daughter is very pleased with the school as well and looks forward to going to school each day to learn and interact with his new friends. Also I witnessed a substantial improvement in my daughter's grades and willingness to participate in afterschool activities offered. The staff are well organized considerate and very approachable as well. I am totally looking forward to this school year...Go F.S.K. !!!Keep up the great work!!!!

This is a great school it ,provides great economy skills and gives the students there own little bank which shows them how to save (money) key cash so when they grow up they know how it works.

I love my school. It is fun and amazing. We do many activities for kids who are good. We have renaissance day and many more things. Most the teachers and staff are really nice. We have a few teachers who are really strict, but nobody really minds them. Our teacher teaches us based on or knowledge and if we are ahead of the class. They pay attention to the individual student. Our school could improve with the students, some of the students may be off hand but that's only about 5% o the school. So it is a very good school but the students need to improve and we ned less teachers who like to scream.
