I use to do drop off for a child care center, and they weren’t very friendly, the kids on my route even said they hate the school, the carpool line isn’t organized, people cut you off all the time, don’t send your kids here,

Would not recommend this school. I’ve had 3 kids here and it’s was a bad experience for all of them. One having to transfer and now we are moving out of the district. There is bullying, stealing and my son even had his food spit on. He has had 2 lunchboxes stolen, food out of his lunch box stolen, punched...teacher are not helpful and seem to be inexperienced. The carpool line is an unorganized nightmare and parents and teachers have no communication to make changes. Glad to be gone.

I went here also and my children and grandchildren..out of all the elementry\middle schools in my opinion walnuthill is the best.it their love and no child no matter their fianances etc are all treated fairly and loved equally .the teachers and staff are always working with the children and familys.their non judgemental non discrimination.and their patient with everyone it like a family away from family as it was for me when i attended years ago im proud to have my grandchildren at walnuthill!!!and above all else the best principle in the world Albert Hardison.he very caring, firm and fair and care for all students the same his personality and concern heart for the kids and their education and feeling .cant be compared .anywhere else.he understanding has great character.and a heart of gold.and has been thru alot for his school.and has a majority of parents to back him up .he is a shining star .in everyaspect professional and non.we love you Mr.Hardison.and know that every child even me did have a good start .i assure you any thing that didnt go well wasnt because of this school or staff or principle.!!Go WalnutHillHornets!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lack of communication between the school/teachers and the parents is aweful. Parents do not feel welcome at the school and are not informed about anything except through a news letter.

This used to be a good school and still has some good teachers but has really gone down hill the last few years. The administrative staff are uncaring and unhelpful. My child had a very expensive item stolen due to school negligence. The the person i dealt with was unhelpful and disinterested and said it would be best if he did not pursue the matter. I'm glad my child will be going into a magnet program next year.

I have gone to Walnut Hill since Kindergarten, the teachers are great, and they challenge you every single day of the year. I love all of the teachers and staff, I have had problems with bullying but it was handled immediantly and effectivly, they do not play at Walnut Hill and they do not accept kids who want to joke about their education. I have been invited to take my SATS in the SEVENTH grade because my grades are high, and I have an above level reading skill. I learned to read in Kindergarten and have always read above level. I was reading the Twilight series in the third grade, and reading Harry Potter in the fifth. I am now reading at a twelfth grade level in the seventh grade. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone, who wants to learn that is. The teachers are strict but fun, they teach in a way that makes you WANT to learn every second of the day. I love my school, and never want to leave (To bad I have to I wish they had a highschool part of the school) ~Charlotte Mcmellon student

Walnut HIll is a great school! I have a son in kindergarten that has an amazing teacher. The first 9 weeks aren't even over and he is already reading! I have a nephew in 2nd grade and a niece in 5th grade who are also learning a lot. I went to Walnut Hill from 2nd to 8th grade. Mr. Hardison is a great leader and role model for these kids. I love how keeps God in the school and everything is lead by prayer. These kids rank the highest in public schools in Shreveport
