Children were able to make friends really fast their first year. They are giving great opportunities to learn about many things. Also, there is a good push to stay off of tablets unless required, love that!

This is such a fantastic school!! Everyone is incredibly nice and the teachers are spectacular. My kids are getting a fabulous education. I am so glad we moved into the area!

We are completing our third year at this amazing school. Why do I say, "amazing?" We've found the staff from the front office, teachers and maintenance to all be top-notch. They all contribute to make our childrens' daily experience inspirational and positive. Second, the parental community support is second-to-none. So many involved parents who want nothing more than to create a wonderful environment for the families. The Science and Technology night is always a big hit and pushes STEM education. A+++ in our book!

We're completing our first year at Oak Park-Carpenter and couldn't be happier. The parent involvement is outstanding. Ms. Gill, the principal, is always present and involved with school activities. Our child has thrived in her classroom environment.

I agree with the social level/status cliques among parents. We are one of the few "not-so white collar" families in the neighborhood that the school primarily serves. However, our son started at OP-C this year and really enjoys the learning environment that Mrs Gill and her staff create for the kids. Great school even with the elitist parents roaming around.

The School is up to date and shines inside and out. Safty is a priority here at OP-C. Quite a few very young teachers that are finding thier way. State cutbacks have effected the school. Parents are pulling together to help where they can. The parents are cliquish and aren't too open to those that under their social statish. Quite a few parents are very involved in the daily goings on at this school. I like that. Apx 24 in each class. The Prinicipal is great and does try to do what she can for your child.

We are very happy at this school. I have 2 kids who are in 1st and 3rd grades and have attended OP-C since kindergarten. Budget cuts due to the economic downturn have caused larger class sizes and other frustrating cutbacks that have negatively affected my childrens' education. However, it is a state-wide problem and our principal has done a good job in fighting for the best interests of the students at our school. I have been thrilled with almost all of the teachers my children have had and agree with the high level of expectations that are placed on the students who attend the school. The school has a positive feel inside the building and everyone, from the office staff to the custodians to the teachers to the principal, clearly are happy to work at Oak Park-Carpenter.
