My son attended 3rd-5th grades and went on to York Middle and York High. Seaford Elementary's staff is amazing and truly cares for the students.

The teachers and staff at this school really care about the students. My son needed that little bit of extra help at the beginning of the year, so they started a study group for some of the 4th graders once a week. I couldn’t believe the teachers would take the extra time after school just to ensure my son and others were ready for his SOLs this spring. He passed with flying colors! I also know someone (who’s son has a disability) that sends her kids here just for the care and wonderful environment. My kids didn’t want school to be over this year and I feel that’s a testament of how much they love being here at Seaford. The PTA is very active and always have fun activities and rewards for the kids and teachers. It is really a great school and community.

No. No. No. I am a divorced woman and used my ex husbands address instead of mine. Seaford had higher ratings and reviews. So take what you want out of this review please. It was my child’s first year of school and this school had high ratings. I dont know why. In my opinion. My son suffers with speech. I took him to the doctor multiple times and they diagnosed him with being severely delayed. Mind you I offered all of his medical documents and paper trail to the school. I requested an evaluation while I was registering him in August 2021. Long story short I had to go to the school board. And he didn’t start speech until almost February 2022. I asked in August 2021. And based off of my procedural safeguards…I requested through email in September 2021 for documentation to have proof for myself…since I had asked prior. The law states to contact someone requesting an evaluation within 3 days. It had been a week. So I reached out again and had my first meeting in October 2021. All in all. It’s unprofessional and not worth it.

This school has been amazing! We love my daughter's teachers and everyone that works in administration. They are so experienced in what they do. Children learn while having fun.

Seaford Elementary is the best school in the Hampton Roads area hands-down. 10+

Seaford is a wonderful school and I have found that all teachers, regardless of the grade they teach, step up to help any grade student in need. Because I volunteer throughout the year, go in to read to the class and have lunch with my child at least monthly, I have been able to be a "secret shopper" of sorts. I find the teaching staff and leadership very consistent in their behavior. Wonderful school! I feel blessed to have my child attend Seaford Elementary.

By far the best school in York county. Great teachers great principle great kids and families. Very conservative area. Class sizes for both of my children are less than 20 students.

I thought that the teachers were very engaging and encouraging of the kids. My son loved the class room that he was in.

Unless you are a personal friend of the leadership staff, you can expect to be treated in a less than idealistic manner. There are two staff members and many teachers at Seaford who are wonderful and never condescending. As for the leadership, be prepared to be chastised unless, of course, you are in the "inner circle." I wish our experience could have been different. I have praised small town Seaford elementary for years- even moving my children back so they could attend. Fine leadership is masked underneath the bias behavior. I look forward to the change in leadership and a fair and impartial elementary experience!

We moved to Seaford 2 1/2 years ago so we are on our third school year. The school adapts to the individual child's potential. The classroom sizes are rather small and the teachers as well as the office staff are great. There is so much parent support that when we have the Christmas assemblies it is packed. The children are managed, disciplined quickly\fairly and kept safe. Children are pushed to their individual academic limits. What more can you ask for? I'm so glad we moved to Seaford.

Seaford Elementary has been a great school for two of our sons. It was a great place to be for them to prepare for middle school and high school. from a former parent

Having second thoughts about keeping my children at Seaford. So many changes in the leadership....we have had 3 principals in 4 years. I don't feel connected - because if you aren't in the "click"...then you are an outcast. Teachers praise the A students, give attention to the F students but leave the "average" kid in pasture. I have half of mind to move my children to Yorktown Elem or Dare.
