My nephews go here and it’s been great to see how fast they’re picking up Spanish and the great family feel of the school. One of the better dual immersion schools in the county!

Love Kawana Springs Immersion program! I feel like I have found the best kept secret program in Santa Rosa. We come from out of district because the district has money and the resources for all students is well designed.

Kawana has a strong academic program. The students are also taught to have good manners, and treat each other with respect.

Kawana is an excellent school where teachers communicate regularly with parents in many different ways.

Since last week 11/7/2013 to present the classroom #2 of RCSS has had a skunk smelling. The custodians have been told by the teacher of the classroom about it and there is not any action taken yet to remove the animal because "the school cannot do nothing about it. It looks very inneficient the logistic and the maintenance there, also very careless and inconsiderate. My son is student there with 10 more children who have autism and down syndrome. We live close by the hills in Bennett Valley Area and very frequently we have those incidents with animals crashed by cars in the road and the animal is removed in less than a few hours.

My children have attended this school for three years and they have enjoyed all three. Their STAR test scores are individually high and the teachers while not exactly reaching out to you about your childrens' possible problems will always talk with you if you reach out. My kids were inspired by their teachers and one of my daughters even wants to be a teacher now because of her sixth grade teacher! Also , yes I do agree this school suffers from budget problems, and there is never enough money for what they need, but the teachers and staff do their best to work what they have.

The school staff are excellent, the teachers are awesome the principal is wonderful, cooperative and nice, but the main problem is the surrounding community is so unsupportive (poverity, high consentration of uneducated parents, even illegal imigrants and gang members). It's so unfortunate the school is built in this area. They should have move the location somewhere else.

I went to this elementay school, and it is awesome! It did not have the best curriculum honestly, but it has lack of funding unfortunately. I would not listen to anyone's advice about not taking your kids because the lunch is bad, hardly any schools have good food. The school's ranking does not matter at all because students manage to excel in a positive environment like Kawana Elementary School
