No better education in New Mexico. Very well rounded education in a loving, supportive and diversive community. I can't speak highly enough about this school.

The people in this school are extremely nice and respectful and so are the teachers.The education level is pretty good and the classrooms are well organized and neat....a very nice place for learning not only academically but also spiritually and morally

St. Michaels is a fantastic school. The teachers are dedicated, caring, and very accommodating to students needs. The students are respectful to adults and to each other. There isn't another school better for our son. We are very happy with the education our son is receiving at St. Mikes.

I have been greatly impresses with the newleadership and it's emphasis on providing strong academics as well as the importance of music and arts. Sure, a lot of the students stay in state for college, but it isn't because they aren't accepted at out of state schools, because they are. But with the lottery scholarship it is hard for many students and their families to justify taking on thousands of dollars of debt. St. Mike's will provide your child the most well rounded education, in a safe and caring environment. Preparing your child not just for college, but for life!

As a student, I can say that many of the teachers are good, with some fantastic and some horrid. There aren't the resources for honors students here (there are only six AP classes actually taught here), but teachers and counselors are more than willing, most of the time, to help all students, advanced and struggling, improve. It's a feeder school to UNM and NMSU, and while some students go out of state, the vast majority stay here. It has a strong focus on faith, which is a good thing to have for a Catholic school, but it seems to emphasize athletics sometimes more than academics. The administration, too, is inept - in the years that I've been here, we've transitioned from a regular six class semester schedule to a block schedule to a modified block schedule to a trimester schedule, under three principals and two presidents. It needs consistency and strong academic focus to make it better; right now its better than the public alternatives and cheaper than Santa Fe Prep and Desert, but has a long way to go to be a real college preparatory school. If just judging on the teachers and students, I'd give it four, four and a half stars, but because of the lack of direction, I just can't.

St. Mike's has really been a great choice for me. It's like a family, everyone knows everyone and the relationship between students and teachers are unlike any other. Teachers are always available for extra help, and the school and it's staff take a great interest in helping you grow as a student. Academically it can be pretty challenging, but putting forth an effort is a sure way to insure you will get a lot out of your experiences. I feel totally prepared for college in the fall and I thank St. Mike's for all the advice I've gotten from the counselors, and the education I've gotten from the teachers.
